Appearance   Short Description : A solid brown tabby tom with hazel eyes and a scarred pelt Long Description : Adderstrike is not by any means a handsome cat. He is long and lanky, and his legs are covered in bruises and scars. His joints are visible through his fur, as all those years as a rouge has turned him to a naturally skinny cat. His paws are narrow and his claws are long and sharp. In fact, it seems everything about him is narrow. His face is nearly triangle, and his eyes are wide and his pupils narrow. Adderstrikes ears are tall and wide, giving him more of a homely appearance. His tail is very long, and is permanently curled at the end due to some unknown accident. His muscles are surprisingly strong, despite their stringy appearance. His fur is coarse and somewhat matted in areas, and is an overall light ginger color that darkens closer to his bones and paws.

Personality     Adderstrike has been called many things... unstable, blood-thirsty, unreasoning. And for the most part, every one of them is right. Adderstrike is surely out of his mind, although only he himself truly knows. When he turned rouge he turned to merciless perseverance, willing to dispose of others for his own use, and craving bloodshed. His antics have made him seem much older than he really is. But do not imagine dear Adderstrike as some rampaging, thoughtless monster. No, he is far too clever for that. In fact, Adderstrike has the mind of a sly genius. He appears merely harmless to many cats, hiding his true schemes and thirsts deep underneath. He is tangled and denied on the inside, trying hard to mask his long-time grief, but on the outside seems smooth and maybe even decent. Yes, Adderstrike knows grief, griwf from his complicated, mightmare-ish past that would leave any normal cat alone and depressed. But Adderstrike has much better use for his time. He speaks in a low purr, and only slips out enough anger to scare someone away. In fact, he has been known to coax young apprentices into doing his bidding. He is mostly silent with his mysterious thoughts, but when the time is needed, he can lash out like some snake. And that is how he received his name so long ago upon exile, for hes silent as an adder... ready to strike.

History   Key Dates   Born Rushkit in the Moon of Unnamed Blue (2004) Apprenticed as Rushpaw in the Moon of Long Nights (2004) Began using the name Adderstrike Died in the Moon of First Green (2007) Full History : During the blue moon of 2004 a pair of healthy kittens were born to a she-cat called Yellowrose who named the father Owlscreech. She said the name with pride, refusing to share in the shame or the worry of those who thought the tom, Owlscreech, would come out little better than his sire and turn on the clan. Darknight had attempted a coup against Fiercestar during the third year of the great war (2003) and struck, with a small group of cats, against Fiercestar and his deputy in an attempt to overthrow. Owlscreech had been an apprentice at the time and stood with his father who had convinced him and his mentor to join his cause. Owlscreech lived only because Fiercestar had taken pitty on the tom who had grown up with his grandson, Bloodstar. The kittens came to be called Lightkit and Rushkit. The former was a she-cat with cream fur like her mother's, while the latter a tom with a rusty coat. They grew quickly and strongly. Lightkit became a typical she-cat with a personality that let her live as a normal cat. Rushkit, however, grew quickly withdrawn and inexplicably negative. What no cat knew was that Darknight, who found his son useless to his cause now that the tom was firmly on the ThunderClan side, had cultivated a sympathetic ear in Rushkit. Despite his withdrawn nature, Twilightstar decided to apprentice the tom. She hoped that the training would draw him from his shell and let him grow to be a more normal cat. In some ways it worked, but as she didn't know the poison that Darknight dripped into his mind during his sleeping hours, she had know idea that she was giving physical fitness to a cat who would use it for ill. Twilightstar only watched as the young tom grew moody, going to far as to strike out against the other apprentices. It was an ill-fated training session that led to Rushpaw's, as he had been named as an apprentice, removal from ThunderClan during the moon he has reached the traditional age of Warriorship. Lightpaw, his own sister, was his sparring opponent. She stood across the hollow from him, dancing on light paws and playfully insulting her brother in an attempt to draw him into the sort of fun sparing they had done as kittens before he had found such a negative way to live. Her playful jibes were too much for the withdrawn and misguided apprentice. In from of the eyes of two senior warriors and the clan leader he struck like a snake and attacked his sister with claws and teeth. Before the three adults could interfere the worst had been done. Lightpaw lay dead and Rushpaw stood coated in her blood with a look of shock in his eyes. Even soft-hearted Twilightstar could not tolerate this, but unlike Fiercestar before her, she let him live. She spoke the words that changed his name and outcast him to live alone like the snake she had named him for. From there we wandered for a great deal of time. Sometimes attempting to gather cats to him to strike against ThunderClan, but primarily wishing that his grandfather's voice would return to his mind. Darknight had abandoned him when he had been outcast from ThunderClan. Instead he wandered alone and friendless, mostly ignoring the laughing voices of cats who thought him crazy for wanting to attack a pack of wild cats who lived too far from people to have a decent amount of rodents on their territory. This continued until he got the shock of his life. The cat who'd been a member of ThunderClan, a meer kitten at the time of his exile was there in Twolegplace! He and Stoneheart shared a hatred of the cats who had exiled them and banded together in hopes of gathering cats to defeat their enemies.
