Long Description :

A small and stout tom, Alnilam has brown ticked tabby fur and a white chest and belly. His hazel eyes are round and wide.

Personality

Impulsive and lively, Alnilam delights in surprising laughs out of cats around him. He is usually in good cheer, and takes pride in his growing ability to think up spontaneous jests without a second thought in any fast-paced verbal war. Alnilam will lose some of his good nature, however, if he is kept inside for too long; he becomes bored and restless without the outdoors to explore and other cats with whom he can banter. He has little patience for his new human family, who are no fun to talk to at all since they can't engage him in intelligent conversation, and he will loudly complain if they are too slow in letting him outside.

Full History :

Alnilam was born after his brother, Alnitak, and before his sister, Mintaka, on the 3rd day of the Moon of Ill Winds (2008). His sire is a purebred Singapura tom named Rigel, and his dame is a semi-feral she-cat, Maria Isabel. In the six weeks following his birth, Alnilam played to his heart's content in his sire's human home, and grew particularly close to Mintaka.

That all changed when Rigel's owner decided the time had come to sell the three kits. She snatched Alnilam first, shoving him into a cold webbed box from which there was no escape. From the shiny bars of his confinement Alnilam watched helplessly on as Maria Isabel and his siblings fled and his sire attacked his owner so that she would be delayed in chasing after them.

Alnilam was soon sold to a large, eight-member family, with whom he has lived ever since his sudden separation from his family. Although the new humans are kind, if noisy, Alnilam misses his family, and staves off his loneliness by exploring his new home.
