Appearance
Short Description :
A stoutly built light gray van tomkit with dark aqua eyes
Long Description :
Ashpaw's body is primarly covered in short, feathery white fur; the only other color on his pelt is a pale, silvery grey cap-like marking on the very top of his head. His tail is this same frosty grey colour. He is of fairly average size, with a stout built. Since Ashpaw is still young, his body has a somewhat kittenish cast. His face is adorned by long, ivory-coloured whiskers and a small, pink nose. His large, almond-shaped eyes have long changed from kitten-blue to a dark aqua, stark against his pale face.

Personality
Ashpaw can be described as a rather quiet, reserved cat. He doesn't mind conversation, but isn't one to start it and usually replies only with short, to-the-point answers. He can come off as cool and collected on the exterior, but is in reality hot-blooded and passionate about what he does. RiverClan is Ashpaw's pride and joy; he'd do anything to ensure its security. Ashpaw isn't much of a mild-tempered individual; he is, in fact, far from it and is quite irritable. The death of much of his close family (his aunt, father, and, most importantly, his brother) has left him with a fear of death.

Ashkit was born on the 16th day of the Moon of Running Prey (2008), during the start of greenleaf to the two RiverClan warriors Thornberry and Minnowleaf. Ashkit was named after the former RiverClan leader Ashstar and former deputy Ashleaf. His only sibling Reedkit was named for his mother's best friend. His kithood was, for the most part, rather uneventful, made up mainly of eating, sleeping, and interacting with his clanmates
Ashkit was deeply saddened by the death of his father at the paws of the otter early in the Moon of First White. His aunt, Emberclaw, had suffered a similar fate some days earlier, in the 28th of the Moon of Turning Leaves. In the 2nd of the Moon of Long Nights, he was apprenticed as Ashpaw alongside his brother, whom became Reedpaw. Much to his delight, Ashpaw was apprenticed to RiverClan's leader, Cinderstar. Only four moons into his training, his brother Reedpaw's life was claimed by Blackcough. The loss came as a shock to Ashpaw; he had witnessed as the sickness advanced and wasted away his littermate. Though he had a faint hope that Reedpaw might somehow be saved, it too was wasted away when he succumbed to the ailment in the Moon of First Fishing (2009). Ashpaw is now in the late part of his apprenticeship under the tutelage of Cinderstar, and he expects he will take on a warrior name within the next four moons. |
