Appearance   Short Description : A natural mink Tonkinese she-cat with bright blue eyes Long Description : Bennu is a purebred mink Tonkinese. She is of a very compact build and for her meduim size, she has a lot of power. Fairly, though not astoundingly, strong, she has well developed muscles and knows how to move herself with ease. Her coloring is a creamy, pale tan on her back and a lighter cream color on her belly, tapering into sable brown points on her paws, tail, face and ears. Typical of her breed, she has bright blue eyes. Her head is long, wedge-shape with subtle curves, and her slightly rounded, triangular ears perch on top. A brown nose with long white whiskers and brown footpads match the fur around them.

Personality     Bennu is always curious and likes to know everything about every little thing that crosses her path. Sometimes, she'll find out by pestering someone with questions, but she is more then happy to find out the answers by her own actions. She has a up-beat and positive attitude and likes to lean towards thinking about what favorable outcomes can happen well ignoring possible harmful outcomes. Her ability to downplay possible future consequences can be a problem. Though she does like to ask questions, Bennu isn't a particularly talkative cat otherwise and tend to completely forget pleasantries. Not that she's intentionally rude, she just merely forgets or sees them as less important then in learning. In fact, she will apologize profusely if she figures out that she's been rude. She is willing to forgive others much of the time and help others when she takes the time to see if they need help. Though she loves to learn, she is also willing to be the teacher, as long as her student isn't too slow. On good days, her ability to wait is minimal.

History   Key Dates   Born and dubbed Bennu in the Moon of Cheetah's Flight (2005) Registered as Bennu of Saqqara Full History : One of the kits in a litter of five, Bennu was born to Mre-Ba and Ankhesenaten. Her sire was a winning show cat and the breeder's were using him to try to improve Mre-Ba's lines. The entire litter lacked show potential, Bennu included, so she was adopted to an elderly man whom was looking for a cat to keep him company. Being tended to nap or doze off, the elderly man aloud Bennu all the freedom she wanted as soon as he'd taken her to the vet and gotten her micro-chipped. The thirteen-week-old kitten didn't mind having independence over immaculate care. When she was hungry, she would always find her food bowl full and when she was thirsty, she could always find water. Sometimes her owner would hold her and pet her, and she would put up with it, but she really loved just being outside. At first, Bennu stuck to the fenced in yard around her owner's house, exploring every little tiny cranny and crack. Each new discovery only made her more curious about what lay farther outside the fence. After a few months of sticking within the boundary, she finally made the leap and actually ventured into a yard that was not her own. She'd seen other cats before but it wasn't until then that she really got to talk to any, yet mainly she just enjoyed exploring. Doing other things outside helped to keep any boredom at bay for Bennu as well. When she was around eight months old, she took to trying to teach herself to hunt. It was something to do that was hard and entertaining. She showed no particular knack for it nor did she pick it up that fast but slowly by slowly, month by month, she learned how too . . . Sort of. By the time she was eighteen months old, she got to the point where she could actually catch prey more often then not. Though she continued exploring, Bennu has yet to go farther then a few yards away from her own, finding enough fun in inspecting every inch of what she has already passed through.
