Long Description :

Birchpelt is a tall, elegant-looking feline who tends to move with the subtle grace most humans admire in a cat. His legs are long like a WindClan cat's ought to be, and his tail rather whip-like in appearance. His face is wide and triangle-shaped with big inquisitive sapphire eyes. His eyes are accented by small black eyeliner markings which make him look constantly happy or suprised. Birchpelt is a white cat littered with black spots that vary in size, making his pelt look like the birch bark he was named after. His coat is short, thick, and rarely unclean and it grows thicker about his neck, chest, and tail. Birchpelt is lacking in any overly noticeable scars or deformities, save the fact that his right ear is nearly torn all they way off and his left ear is missing the top half both ears torn due to various minor squabbles.

Personality

Birchpelt can be described as an easy-going, relatively kind tom who often gives his trust away too easily. When betrayed, which doesn't happen uncommonly due to the fact that Birchpelt is a rather trusting character, Birchpelt will either go through a stage of denial or immediately form a grudge for several moons, there is no gray area. To Birchpelt, everything is either right or wrong, distorted or perfect, black or white. He is an experienced warrior who has the bad habit of always believing he is right. True, he does take the opinions of Doublestar and Blackwater into consideration, sometimes Blackwater's more than Doublestar's because the WindClan deputy is simply more reasonable than their leader, but he usually decides his own decisions are best.

When placed under pressure, his oppinions can be biased and tends to worry nonstop about everything that has the potential to go wrong, but usually manages to pull himself together when needed.Birchpelt is infamous for suffering from what is known as an obsession compulsive disorder. Everything must have an order, a strategy, a pattern, a plan . . . Birchpelt tends to be over-protective of anyone he loves unintentionally, which includes his sister Jewelclaw and her two kits. He is known to simper at others' idiocy or stupidity as long as they are not in immediate danger. Birchepelt is easily amused unless agitated, which doesn't seem to happen too often. The obsessive tom tends to favor cleanliness, and can be easily distracted by simple things that are out of order. But all the same, he is a loyal and honest warrior.

Full History :

Birchpelt was born to an average WindClan family of Poisonpelt, Beardedclaw, and his sister, Jewelclaw who now mothers two kits, Birchpelt's niece and nephew. His parents are now deceased due to natural causes, but they died shortly after Birchpelt was apprenticed. After his parent's deaths, which were quite close together actually, Birchpelt became slightly over protective of his sister, and still is. His apprenticeship was painfully normal, lacking in any specific events that would dramatically alter his life.

Several or so moons and a few minor squabbles later after Birchpelt was made a warrior, he was granted the privilege of training an apprentice, Sparrowpaw. Their personalities were similar during their mentor apprentice relationship, so he got along fairly well with the young she-cat. He looked forward to their training sessions and only couldn't attend a few while he was sick with a insignificant cold.

During his illness, Birchpelt entrusted his apprentice in the care of Cricketflight for a single training session until he recovered. Birchpelt has now recovered well enough to continue his training with Sparrowpaw, who should be made into a warrior soon, and he looks forward to it. Birchpelt has recently shown distaste for the substitute mentor because of something foolish he had done, but hopefully Birchpelt will get over his annoyance for Cricketflight soon.
