Vox Populi
- Bayshine on Cottonwhisker: Bayshine sees Cottonwhisker as someone associated with Bloodstar, and therefore has little respect for her. He thinks that Cottonwhisker was only appointed deputy because Bloodstar likes her. He also thinks that she meddles in the affairs of others.
- Crowfur on Cottonwhisker: Crowfur has serious doubts regarding the competence of Cottonwhisker. He sees her as someone too weak to balance Bloodstar in ThunderClan, and fears her docile nature will permit ThunderClan to fall under the manipulation and violence of Bloodstar - thus affecting all the forest.
- Dawnstar on Cottonwhisker: Dawnstar considers Cottonwhisker to be soft and easy to manipulate. She is a weak link in the chain of command, and her personality will cause ThunderClan to fail when their strength is most needed.
- Fiercestorm on Cottonwhisker: The fact that Fiercestorm calls Cottonwhisker by her name, instead of calling her 'mother', belies his deep care for her--she is the only mother he has ever known. He is of the opinion that the warmth and loyalty she holds for ThunderClan is almost profound, and that she mothers not only her own kits, but also the Clan itself, with equal skill and compassion. He knows she has always tried her best for her family, and rather admires her for the way she tries to balance out his father's strong, aggressive personality with her softer, complementing one. She is one of his role models, second only to Bloodstar.
- Flamesong on Cottonwhisker: Flamesong trusts Cottonwhisker instinctively and finds her company welcome, yet she cannot help but wonder that Cottonwhisker raises her kits in a loose manner. The calico's insistence that she give more freedom to her son Frostkit increased that same feeling.
- Oakclaw on Cottonwhisker: Oakclaw thinks Cottonwhisker is one of the few hopes left for ThunderClan. He considers her a healthy counterbalance for Bloodstar and other Fierceblooded cats, and hopes she will manage to gather more power in her clan, so that ThunderClan's nature is changed.
- Thornpelt on Cottonwhisker: Thornpelt appreciates the fact that Cottonwhisker keeps Bloodstar in check. Having noticed how she reacts to Bloodstar's violent acts at the Gatherings, her realizes she keeps a rather short leash on the ThunderClan leader, thus contributing to the stability of her clan and, consequently, of the forest. He is deeply grateful for her hidden strength.
