Appearance
Short Description :
A large calico tom with a peculiar line of erect fur caused by a scar
Long Description :
A surprisingly large, muscular tom, Crestedback seems to come off as more of the active warrior type than a medicine cat. His dense, slightly scraggly fur is a combination of dark brown and black, with splothes of white on his paws, muzzle, throat and belly. Along his back runs a rather peculiar line of erect fur, caused by the scar running the majority of his back.

Personality
Quiet, calculating, and thourough, there's very little that escapes the notice of this particular character. While not anti-social, he is far from the most chatty in his clan and is most often out gathering herbs in the warmer seasons or in his den in the colder ones. He is kind, and it is rare for him to raise his voice in anger or feel a grudge towards his clanmates. He has proven himself again and again to be a loyal, quick-thinking individual with a strong knack for comforting the wounded or upset and setting others at ease.

History

Full History :
Born to a gentle and quiet gray and white she-cat named Whiteface, Crestedback grew up under the loving care of his mother, and later his mentor, an ancient tabby she-cat named Speckledfoot. He was an attentive apprentice; quiet and quick to obey his mentors requests. Crestedback learned quickly, proving to have an excellent memory for herbs, poutices, and other remedies.
When his mentor passed on during the war Crestedback, who was still known as Gracklepaw at the time, rose to the position of ShadowClan medicine cat and recieved the name Grackleback. He performed his duties to the fullest extent, and up until the great bout of greencough that decimated the ShadowClan cats he had a track record that proved him to be a above-par medicine cat. It was while searching for herbs at dusk that he caught the attention of an owl; the bird attempted to make him into freshkill, but Grackleback escaped with life, a formidable scar, and twin lines of fur on each side of it that earned him a new name. |
