A silver tabby bi-color tom with brilliant blue eyes
Long Description :
The color of week-old snow, Fadedpaw's thick fur is a faint silver-gray with darker herringbone stripes spreading over his flanks. His underside is pure white, and the color reaches up his chest and muzzle, spills down the insides of his legs to his paws, and makes an abrupt reappearance at the very tip of his tail. Fadedpaw has light blue eyes which make a vibrant contrast to his pale fur.
Fadedpaw is the spitting image of his father and grandfather, and he carries himself proudly with this knowledge. He seems to have very few traits from his mother, but for his sharp tongue.

Personality
Fadedpaw has grown up under the impression that he is something of a paragon; after all, he is the spitting image of his father, who can do no wrong in Fadedpaw's opinion. Having such a nettle-tongued mother-cum-mentor as Hollyfeather has done nothing to tarnish Fadedpaw's view on his own superiority to his peers. Rather, he relishes the chance to cross proverbial swords in lively debate with anyone and everyone, including his mother, who gives him the chance.
Seldom shy, Fadedpaw knows how to exert the full force of his rather-forceful personality, and will not hesitate to do so when he feels he has something to gain by it. His parents have taught him respect, however, and he gives it on principle to his leader, deputy, and medicine cat. Anyone other than those three (plus his mother and father) will have to earn his respect. Fadedwing's relationship with his siblings is complicated: he had much affection for them when they were all apprentices, but when his two brothers were made warriors before he was, he began to resent Echobreeze and Earthstorm -- the former especially. Now he sees everything as a competition, and he is determined to come out on top. Having satisfied himself in gaining his warrior name, he is out to add another accomplishment to his name: siring kits before his brothers do. |

Fadedwing was born Fadedkit, to Frostcloud out of Hollyfeather, on the 10th day of the Moon of Long Sun. His father named him for his grandfather, as the tomkit bore a nearly-exact likeness to Fadedcloud. His kithood was much like any other cat's, though he was one of four kits in his litter, and experienced a certain amount of sibling tension in competing for his parents' attention. Fadedkit, once he had reached a certain age, found he had grown bored with his status in the Clan and began to eagerly await apprenticehood. Spending time with Robinpaw certainly did not help his desire to move upward in rank. The apprentices' stories of training and hunting only filled Fadedkit with an ever-stronger wish that his ceremony would hurry up and get here. [6 moons - 14 moons] Fadedpaw was not quite neglectful of his training under her, though he did not, perhaps, work as hard as he could have. He was quite confident in his excellence in all things, and certain that he would be made a warrior in the usual manner of things. When Fadedpaw and his littermates were twelve moons old, there was indeed a warrior ceremony. However, only two were made warriors -- one of them Earthpaw, of all cats -- and Fadedpaw himself was passed over. Fuming and humiliated, he began putting more time and effort into his training, that next time Blackstar might not deem him unworthy of warriorhood. Fadedpaw's work paid off in the moon of Lion's Glory, 2008; on the fourteenth day of that moon, he was made a warrior as Fadedwing, the name he'd hoped to receive. His sister, Whisperpaw, was named Whisperstream alongside of him. [14 moons - ] Now that Fadedwing has successfully caught up to his warrior brothers, he is striving his utmost to one-up them and make up for his late warrior ceremony. If Fadedwing has his way, he will before long have fathered kits -- though he is hardly out of kithood himself, where maturity is concerned. On the 4th day of the Moon of Tiger's Wrath he died when the outer wall of the warrior's den collapsed on him and other warriors from the weight of the blizzard snows. He suffocated before he could be dug free of the heavy, wet drifts. |
