Long Description :

Firecoat was a burly tom on the short side, with yellow eyes and long grey-white claws. His compact muscles bunched and rippled beneath the red bicolor pelt for which he was named.

Personality

Firecoat would do almost anything to draw attention to himself, pulling pranks and teasing clanmates on a daily basis. He loved to laugh, possessing a casual joviality and good cheer. However, his antics were not always playful; Firecoat got carried away at times and could become downright cruel in his mocking of others. Ever since his first border skirmish, the young tom developed an arrogance and a lust for bloodshed. The warrior found a savage kind of joy and exhilaration in combat with enemy cats. It wasn't that Firecoat liked the killing, but rather the glory and feeling of power derived from it. His pride and vanity grew with each victory, until he became thoroughly convinced he was the best warrior that WindClan had ever, and would ever see. In short, he believed he was invincible.

Full History :

Firecoat, then Firepaw, was apprenticed just as the Great War between the Clans begun, and his true talent was soon revealed. He was a vicious, ruthless warrior on the battlefield, and his proud mentor boasted that Firepaw had a natural ability for analyzing battle moves and acting quick on his paws. Though his hunting skills were average, Firepaw excelled in his combat training, and his warrior ceremony was held one moon earlier than normal, in part because of his obvious abilities, and the fact that WindClan needed as many competent warriors as it could get to fight in the war. His mentor's praise, combined with this accomplishment, served to bolster Firecoat's confidence, and the young tom began to think he could do no wrong.

It came to him no surprise when a she-cat by the name of Slightbranch chose him to be the father of her kits; he had noticed, with a sense of delight, that she had feelings for him for quite a while now, and he himself was rather taken by the older she-cat. And after all, he thought in his arrogance, who could be a better father than the great warrior Firecoat himself?

Ironically, Firecoat was slain in the war a moon before his and Slightbranch's two kits were born.
