After a while Shiningstone bore his kits, Redkit and Rowankit. They quickly became apprentices, and Flamewatcher mourned with his mate when the Killingcough took Redpaw and celebrated when Rowanpaw became the warrior Rowanfall. In the Moon of Leopard's Rest (2007), Flamewatcher died of old age.
