Appearance

Short Description :
A light gray marbled tabby bi-color she-cat with green eyes
Long Description :
Icewind is mainly a very pale marbled silver tabby she cat, with large areas of white on her legs, underbelly, tail, chest, throat and face. You could say she is more like a white cat with a big silver tabby patch spreading over her back, part of her tail, the back of her head and around her eyes and ears. Her eyes are a very pale crystal green, with a darker sliver of emerald green just below the iris of her left eye. Her fur is short and thin, which makes water and cold hard for her. Icewind's greatest skill is speed. This makes her not only a good hunter and runner, but also a skilled opponent in battle. Her claws are razor-sharp, and when fighting she will prefer to slash and dodge rather than slam into another cat or pin them down. The moors of WindClan are perfect for Icewind's lithe speed and skill at hunting.
Personality

'Ice' really does fit Icewind. She's quick to fight when pressed, but she's got no temper - only cool, icy calm. Icewind keeps her feelings hidden when talking to other cats. Despite her aggressive tendencies Icewind is fiercely loyal to WindClan - she sets her sights on becoming the greatest warrior the Clan has ever seen, and chooses to interpret this as concentrating her life on honing her warrior skills, with no time for other cats. The warrior code is her life - she would never break it under any circumstances. Icewind has a reputation for not suffering fools gladly - a reason why she has never wanted an apprentice, perhaps.

Full History :
One windy morning in early leaf-fall, a WindClan queen called Ripplebrook gave birth to three tiny kits in their nursery. These were Mosskit, Streamkit, and of course Icekit. Their lives were pretty uneventful for the first five moons of Icekit's life - it was Ripplebrook's first litter, and she was very protective of them, keeping the kits iside camp most of the time. The kit's father, Dustyfoot, had eyes only for Mosskit, who was the strongest and boldest of the litter. As the kits grew older and watched the apprentices hunting and training, they wanted more and more to go out of camp for themselves, despite the fact they weren't yet six moons old. Meanwhile, the chill of leaf-bare was gripping the camp, and prey was scarce. One morning, Ripplebrook was sharing tongues with the other queens, when the kits squeezed themselves through the tiny gaps in the thick wall or gorse around the camp. Mosskit led them, saying the Clan needed prey and they should catch some. Icekit was all for the idea, and Streamkit followed her littermates, so the three kits set out into the bitter snow to catch some prey. Back at camp, Ripplebrook was frantically looking for her kits. She and several other warriors, including Dustyfoot, set out to find them. When they did, Icekit was the only one left alive, huddling under a tree next to the frozen bodies of her brother and sister. The kits were brought back to camp, and Icekit taken straight to the medicine cat's den. She stayed there for nearly a moon, recovering, and when she found out her siblings were dead she was distraught. Dustyfoot blamed her for Mosskit and Streamkit's deaths; he was convinced she had led them into the cold. Icekit, who hardly remembered that day, believed him. In time she became an apprentice, however, Icepaw never forgave herself for 'her' mistake. Each day she trained harder, hunted more, ran faster than she had before, convinced that if she became a better warrior StarClan would forgive her for what she did. When she became a warrior, Icewind never stopped trying to be the best. Other cats mattered less and less in her life, and she could never become close to any cat after what had happened to her brother and sister. She kept away from the kits and queens, too.
