A natural mink Tonkinese she-cat with aqua blue eyes
Long Description :
Kemintiri is a purebred natural mink Tonkinese. Delicate and willowy, her body shows no sign of extra fat, yet her muscles are not developed enough to make her look wiry. She has a medium-sized body, the brown coloring of her back tapering to sable brown points on her head, tail and paws. Her underside is a lighter brown, brightening to a cream coloring on her belly.
Her legs are long and strong, with the hind legs being slightly longer than the front ones. Their paw pads are a medium-brown, matching the color around them. She has the typical almond aqua blue eyes of her breed. Her head is wedged and long, yet has gentle, subtle contours; it is topped by medium, triangular ears with oval tips. Long, white whiskers frame Kemintiri's dark-brown muzzle. Kemintiri's owners have marked her not with a collar but with an electronic chip underneath the skin of her neck. |
Personality
Kemintiri is, most of all, an inquisitive, talkative cat. She has an insatiable curiosity and wanderlust, and thus spends more time in her backyard or strolling through the neighborhood than inside her owners' house.
While not especially bright or intelligent, she is quick of wit and mind, and tends to act on a whim. Most of the time, Kemintiri will hardly think her actions over before plunging head-on into them. Her carelessness has more than once led Kemintiri into trouble in the neighborhood, but that has not changed her behavior. Her upbringing has led her to believe purebreeds are superior to other cats. Kemintiri's manner toward any that do not conform to her standards - and even some who do - is haughty, fickle and arrogant, expecting those below her to all but serve her for being who she is. While Kemintiri has a deep ingrained distrust toward most twolegs and will avoid them when possible, she deeply loves her owners - in her own way. That means Kemintiri expects them to wait on her every need and be there to provide her the best possible life a cat could have. |
History

Kemintiri was born to Mre-Ba and Ankhesenaten, one kit out of a litter of five. Her sire had won several trophies in the show arena, and the breeders were trying to improve Mre-Ba's line. None of the kits was show material, so four of them - Kemintiri included - were adopted out.
Thus, on her twelfth week of age, Kemintiri was taken home by her new owners. Their elderly cat had recently died, and they wanted a kitten to help fill in their loss. As a kit, Kemintiri was dotted over, her owners attending to her every whim and wish. Pampered and spoiled no-end, it was a question of time until the young cat got bored of so much attention and wanted a bit more freedom. This, of course, was not so easy to obtain - her owners were afraid she would get lost, stolen, attacked by some stray. And on Kemintiri brooded, yearning for the freedom of the outdoors. On a visit to the vet, he suggested that Kemintiri be marked with an electronic chip. While this might not guarantee her complete safety, at least it managed Kemintiri and her owners to reach a compromise solution - she would get her freedom, and they would know her whereabouts. The she-cat's first experiences with the outdoors were exhilarating. Exploring and inspecting every corner, every tree and every bush around her house soon became a steady occupation. Quick to make connections and eager to have fun, Kemintiri started spending a large share of her life outside her house. This situation continues until today; she goes back to her owners for her meals and a well-deserved rest, but little more. |
