As a young warrior, his attention was caught by the warrior Squirrelleap--he was quite entranced by her bushy tail and fur. Together they had a daughter, Brightdawn. Redfoot never lived to see his daughter become a warrior, for he fell to the Killingcough not long after his mate died.
