Short Description :
A brown marbled tabby bi-color she-cat with gold eyes
Long Description :
Sparrowflight's fluffy fur is a light brown, adorned with dark marbled tabby markings. Her build is a bit smaller than her sister Brightsky's, and Sparrowflight's fur often sticks out in odd angles. Her eyes are a golden color, her muzzle is white, and her nose is pink.

Personality
Sparrowflight is outgoing and energetic. She tries to be a positive cat and look on the bright side of things, but not so much so that it makes her seem naïve. She is sensible, hard-working, and always keen on improving herself. She likes to keep busy though, and tends to fidget when she has nothing useful to do.
Sparrowflight takes pride in being a WindClan cat through and through, and while she doesn't mind interacting with non-WindClan cats and being friendly, she prefers her own Clan for company. She doesn't like non-Clan cats very much, not only because of the way she's been taught but also because she doesn't understand how some of them, especially kittypets, can enjoy their lifestyles.

Sparrowflight had been born with her sister Brightsky in the Moon of Melting Waters (2006) to the WindClan cats Haywhisker and Hawkpelt. She was named Oceankit while her sister was Cloverkit, and although Haywhisker had died giving birth to the kits, Oceankit was not heavily affected by the event. The death of her father Hawkpelt, who was killed by rogues, was worse on her. Unlike Cloverkit, however, Oceankit did not withdraw and lose a playful part of herself in the process. Instead (and perhaps to make up for her sister's behavior), Oceankit tried to be optimistic, and that trait has stuck with her ever since.
Oceankit was made and apprentice a little while after her sister during the Moon of Cheetah's Flight (2006) and became known as Sparrowpaw. She was given Birchpelt as her mentor and trained hard under him. Birchpelt's nature was something she found rather odd in a Clan cat, but by the time she was made a warrior in the Moon of First Green (2007), Sparrowflight felt that she had learned well from him. She very much considered herself to have learned from what she saw as his flaws, including his tendencies to over-think things and be too trusting. When Birchpelt died six moons later, Sparrowflight was sad about it for a short while, but she was glad that he hadn't suffered the slow death of the Killingcough that had taken so many others in the Clan. Sparrowflight was not entirely pleased when Blackstar brought the pair of loners from the barn to see WindClan's camp in the Moon of Cheetah's Flight (2007) and when WindClan had to oust a group of rogues on their behalf later. Sparrowflight's feelings on the whole "rogues at the barn" incident were mixed, even though she was happy that WindClan removed a threat from its area. In addition, the barn cats' inability or unwillingness (Sparrowflight doesn't know which it was, though she assumes the former) to fight off a small group of cats made Sparrowflight feel less wary of them. On the twentieth day of the Moon of First Fishing (2008), Sparrowflight was given Skypaw to mentor, who later became Graysky. On the twentieth of the Moon of First White (2008), Sparrowflight participated in ridding WindClan's territory of the badger that had threatened it. On the twelfth of the Moon of Melting Waters (2009), she was given Willowpaw to mentor. |
