| Description: | When a cat's kidneys become damaged, waste products and fluid can build up in the body, causing swelling, vomiting, weakness, poor sleep, and shortness of breath. If left untreated, diseased kidneys may eventually stop functioning completely.
Mild cases of kidney disease group cats with protein in their urine with normal filtration rate levels and cats with mildly decreased filtration levels. Moderate cases include cats with moderately decreased filtration levels. Severe cases include cats that have severely reduced filtration levels and/or kidney failure. | |
