A large dark brown tabby tom with dark gold eyes
Long Description :
Having completely inherited his mother’s appearance, right down to the single black freckle on his ruddy nose leather, Ambergaze is a strongly built tom whose term in captivity hasn't tempered his size and strength. His coat is a brackish mix of brown, with the heavy deep brown markings of his maternal lineage. His eyes, from which it seems he drew his name, are a dark and piercing gold tinted with good humor.

Personality
Outwardly a calm and fairly good-humored tom, Ambergaze is soft-spoken yet unusually eloquent for his background. His voice is rife with the tang of a foreign land, though it has softened somewhat in his time near the forest. There is a subtle hint of a threat behind his otherwise gentle demeanor, however, which speaks of the capability of violence hidden away from sight. Quite happy to enjoy a sun beam and a tin of Twoleg food, he still prefers to hunt down his meals from time to time. He is most often seen pacing the high wooden fences that ring his Twoleggers territory.

History

Full History :
While he was sharing a Twoleg nest with a she-cat named Scrape and an ever changing number of other former loners and rogues, he wasn't always a kittypet. Born far to the east, across the large body of water known as the Pacific Ocean. His home was in the woods of Scotland, along with a population of loners known as the Green Isle Clanners. A wild and rambunctious group of cats, yet tempered by a strict honor code which was not dissimilar to the one in place with the forest Clans. His father was a fairly high-ranked Clan tom, while his mother was one of the general Clan cats. Frostbreaker had little to do with him, and after his mother abandoned him as a kit he was left in Twoleg territory to be dealt with. There was no room for a weak kit amongst the Clanners, especially when there were no parents willing to vouch on its behalf.
And so Ambergaze was raised by Twolegs, although he was lucky enough to have a role model in the former Clanner Nettletongue. Nettletongue, as his name suggests, was a sharp tongued, dry witted tom who'd be kicked from the Clan after his legs had been mangled in farm equipment. And so they lived, until the Twolegs, who had relatives across the ocean, packed them up into tiny hard caves and shipped them off with them while they visited a pair living quite close to the Clans forest. When it came time for them to go, Ambergaze was left behind; the large tom had found the area quite agreeable to his tastes, and they'd noticed. Ambergaze died on the twenty-seventh day of the Moon of First Fishing (2007). |
