A large brown tom with an unusually short tail
Long Description :
The first thing you notice about Bearheart is that he is HUGE. Not just big, but gigantic. He is usually head and shoulders above most cats, though he has met larger individuals, and likes to let others know it. His fur is thick and the color of the earth, giving him the uncanny appearance of a bear lurking throughout a crowd of normal felines. Almost every aspect of him is huge, huge, huge. His pelt is long, his paws are large and powerful, and his muscles can be seen even though his thick brown fur. The only variation from this is his tail, or lack thereof, which is barely more than a deviation in the way his fur grows on his hindquarters. Though small, it only makes his bearlike image even stronger, and he takes pride in it. His eyes are a sharp yellow, and seem to pierce into the viewer's very soul.

Personality
When someone meets Bearheart, they're usually intimidated by his utter mass, and they can be right. He has a mild temper, but when someone angers him, they're in for it big time. He strictly follows the Code, and sometimes his loyalty keeps him from gaining friends. He is known throughout the forest as one of, if not the most, loyal cat the Clans have ever seen. When someone becomes Bearheart's friend, they have made a friend for life. He's loyal to his friends and family as much as he is to his Clan, and will almost never let anyone down. Given his large and hulking character, on the inside he is sensitive despite the fact that he wants everyone to think he is strong and doesn't feel sadness. Behind the macho shell, his interior is loving, gentle, and caring. Most cats just don't realize it.

Brownkit was born alone to his two parents, Mountainheart and Dustyfur, who nurtured him better than any other parents could. By then, both of the pair were senior warriors, and had tried to have a kit for a long time. They were nearly elders by then, and worried that their time with their young one would be short, so they were almost overly protective. Because of this, Brownkit tried to escape the grasp of his parents and play with the other kits and sometimes the apprentices. This is where he got his independence from other cats, because he felt at an early age that he didn't need his parents.
He longed for his apprenticeship, and soon got it. As an apprentice, Brownpaw did his best to keep up with the apprentices older and more experienced than him. But the older apprentices rejected him, seeing him as tedious to drag along and hard to tolerate. This didn't discourage the young tom, however. Only when his father Mountainheart died of old age that he lost the playful spark in him. His mother tried to support him, but she was an elder and had to depend on her son instead. Brownpaw began to grow withdrawn from other cats, and focused more on his loyalty to the Clan than to his friends and family. This didn't pay off in the slightest, for Dustyfur died during the night, and the evening before Brownpaw had given her a sharp remark. He regretted her death for moons and moons, becoming more withdrawn from almost everyone else in the Clan. The training really paid off for young Brownpaw, who still was ambitious and excited despite the death of both of his parents. He became a warrior at only 14 moons old because he focused obsessively on his goal. His new warrior name was Brownpelt, for his distinctive long fur. He became a warrior before some of his fellow apprentices, even some moons older than him, and his shyness disappeared with the title. On the second day of the Moon of Tiger's Wrath (2007), he was killed by the Fisher. |
