Appearance
Short Description :
A pale gray bi-color tom with green eyes
Long Description :
Cricketflight is a light silver tom with white socks on both his front legs and his hind legs. The top of his muzzle is streaked with white as well as around his left eye. He has high and curved cheek bones, a pale gray nose, and sea green eyes. The white socks on his front legs come just above his knees while the sock on his hind legs only rises above his toes. His paws are white as well as his claws which sharply curve when unsheathed. He has a lean muscular frame. Though he may seem almost delicate, his muscles are well developed. His legs are unusually long and carries a short, soft pelt. A thin, mildly visible scar runs along his shoulder blades.

Personality
Cricketflight tends to think highly of himself because of how hard he tries to accomplish his goals, though it has less to do with pride and more to do with self-consciousness. His favorite thing to do is hunting using his long, slender legs to leap after prey along the moorlands. He will not waste time on an petty arguments if drawn into one and will usually end it with a witty comment, that is if he thinks worth using. He's almost always shy around new cats he meets and will tend to let them make the first move. He can be distant at times, especially when he's in a foul mood, preferring to keep to himself than others. He has had the warrior's code hammered down into him, thanks to his mentor, and takes it seriously, loyal to no one except his leader, deputy, and his clan.
This tom by all means can hold his own in battle using his lithe grace and sharp claws. Since he can be in a bad mood at times, he tends to lash out, using something that the other cat has trouble doing, like not hunting as well of the others, or being a slower runner. If he can't think of anything he merely grumbles. His words when used as a retort are usually collected and calm, though when they are he usually wants to make a point. Even though sarcasm doesn't normally affect him, he thinks actions speak stronger than words. If you catch him in a good mood he will be good humored and always willing to make a joke, but knows when to be serious. He tries hard to restrain himself from violent words or behavior by taking a deep breath when he gets frustrated or mad. Around cats he is familiar with, he is kind and easygoing, both patient and passionate for what he believes in. He doesn't always agree with his fellow warriors or their personal opinions, but follows orders from his senior warriors, Deputy, and Leader. If something really disturbs him after orders are given, which is rare, he will politely ask why. For him to trust willingly is hard for him, but once the right cat earns it, he will vow to Starclan that he'll always look after them. As he grows older he is developing a certain leadership ability and might be a bit mouthy to his fellow warriors, though his actions are completely harmless. He just likes to be on his paws and work for his clan that he loves. All and all this tom is a complicated friend or foe, depending on how his clanmates view him. |
History

Cricketflight was born on a mild night in Leaf bare to Sleetstep and Ebonyrush. He was an only kit which only made it easier for both his mother and father since they didn't have to worry as much when it came to feeding. He grew up quite content inside the safety of the nursery. He always found comfort in his mother and played the other kits his age and with his mother often in his daily romps. His father visited him often in the nursery. He couldn't wait to become an apprentice and sometimes led him into trouble since she was always on his feet.
He was apprenticed at six moons and became Cricketpaw. He was an eager apprentice but kept his head out of trouble(most of the time) and knew when enough was enough. He's a very swift runner, due to his long legs, and always did well on hunting lessons. He was a fast learner and trained in most of his free time, thinking that if he did well and tried his best he would surely be rewarded. He always longed to be in a real battle, to feel the rush of fur, and the exhilaration of the fight. After long moons of training his wish was granted. The proud tom became Cricketflight, earning his warrior name. He is fascinated by how his clan has managed to hang in there, even in the most dire situations . He has a soft spot for elders, since he believes the more experienced the old cat is, the smarter they are and hopes to expand his knowledge both within his clan and without. Then one night shortly after becoming a warrior his mother passed on to Starclan, making him more bitter due to his mixed feelings. His father, on the other hand, stayed healthy within the clan, though kept in the Elder's den due towards old age. He visits him every once and a while to bring him fresh kill and has a special kinship with his sire. He would never decline a good story if he offered one and this is partly why he likes elders since he delights in tales. Once when out with his friends, Cricketflight was attacked by a female rouge, leaving a thin scar to remind him of that day. Luckily they chased her out of Windclan territory. Recently, the gray warrior has been anxious about what Jewelclaw's kits, Berrykit and Robinkit, hold in their future. He hopes that one day he will be a mentor himself, perhaps to Jewelclaw's own kits. |
