- Paris on Meriwether: Paris is fascinated by Meriwether's extensive knowledge and looks up to him and trusts him as one of her friends. Like Osiris, however, Meriwether is mistrusted by King Pendragon, something that Paris cannot really understand.
- Osiris on Meriwether: Osiris has come to trust Meriwether, and is one of his most trusted companions. Their friendship has led Osiris to connect to the tom, seeing his heart and soul for how pure it really is. He is impressed with his knowledge of cultures and his brightness even in his own region, and fully accepts him because of it. He has a fondness for the Siamese, and considers him a great aspect of his life.
