Appearance
Short Description :
A gray tabby she-cat with hazel eyes
Long Description :
Nightsky has dark gray fur, with a few paler gray hairs dotted here and there giving her pelt a slightly speckled look under the stripes. Her stripes are a dark gray-black. Nightsky has hazel eyes - a mix of green and brown, with flecks of emerald green giving them the look of a forest floor. Her fur is thick, to cope with the river that she lives near, and her tail is thick-furred to help her swim easier. Nightsky is a small cat, but not abnormally so. Her body is flexible to twist and turn whilst running or swimming.

Personality
Nightsky is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to personality. She's certainly got an independant streak, and hates other cats standing over her and telling her what to do - even cats in higher positions than her. She acts shy and quiet to those who don't know her well, but she's very outgoing with friends. She's pretty protective as well, of cats younger than her. Nightsky's fearsome temper is easily ignited, making her aggressive to an extent, and she doesn't forgive easily. She's not afraid to let cats know what she thinks, which can get her into trouble if she disagrees fiercely with some cat's views - she's stubborn, too, and unwilling to be proved wrong. She can get reckless if she's angered, and do stupid things just to prove herself - which usually ends up with her looking like an idiot. The warrior code is very important to her, even more than - in the rare case the two conflicted - her loyalty to RiverClan.

History

Full History :
From the start, littermates Amberkit and Nightkit were both born with very different personalities. Nightkit was spunky and hotheaded, Amberkit friendly and gentle. The two kits were very close as they grew up together in the nursery, becoming more and more excited about their upcoming apprentice ceremonies. The day finally came, and the kits became apprentices. Nightpaw and Amberpaw's training progressed well. Both were showing good warrior skills and getting more experience, what with patrols, hunting and other trials, always competing and teasing each other over mistakes. Nightpaw knew that the days were getting closer and closer to their warrior ceremonies, and she challenged Amberpaw to a 'best warrior' contest. The littermates went out hunting, the challenge being to catch as much fresh-kill as possible. Amberpaw won - marginally, by only one piece of prey. Nightpaw felt nothing but happiness for her brother, as he was too soft-spoken to gloat at all, and knew of his sister's temper and how easy it was to rouse. Nightpaw challenged Amberpaw to a fight - claws sheathed - and they began. It wasn't a particularly close contest. Nightpaw flattened her brother to the ground in a matter of moments, and could barely stop herself from bouncing with glee. Amberpaw lost it. He had spent so long putting up with Nightpaw's dragging him into trouble that he got angry with her - and fought for real, in madness rather than sport. Nightpaw, taken aback at his change of personality and what seemed loss of sanity, panicked and ran back to camp - on her own. It turned out that was the day of her warrior ceremony, and only her warrior ceremony--Amberpaw never came back. Nightsky tried to forget about him. Optimism was her natural state, and she didn't want to spend too long worrying over Amberpaw, although she never saw him again after that. She concentrated on making more friends, and being a loyal warrior to RiverClan, even though she knew her brother ought to have been with her.
