Long Description :

Roseclaw is a tall, lithe calico, with a agile and swift-built frame. She has always been noticed for her unusual loveliness in her appearance, but she stubbornly ignores this trait, and doesn`t consider this important and she doesn`t care. Her eyes are spring-green in color, and she has unusually long and dangerous claws. Her fur has a white base with reddish-orange-brown and grey-blue splotched all over her body.

Personality

Roseclaw has many similar characteristics as Bloodstar--his forwardness, his aggressiveness, and his temper. Roseclaw, however, doesn't act on a whim or off of her emotions, but relies on her basic ideas and opinions, no matter how angry she is. She had more self-control over her temper and is sensible, always looking at situations from every perspective, not just her own.

On a standard day, Roseclaw is assertive, commanding, and efficient. She doesn't like to waste time and can come off as almost stiff sometimes. She knows what she's doing; she's strong will and strong-minded, and when she wants something done, it gets done. Sometimes she doesn't seem to have a vast personality while at her duties for deputy, and other times she can be unexpectedly friendly and animated. She isn't afraid of confrontation, but knows it's best to avoid it.

Full History :

Bloodstar`s grandfather, Fiercestar, had a sister named Savagefang. She had one kit, named Lonekit, who would grow up to have a kit named Littlekit, but Savagefang never got the chance to see Lonekit get her warrior name. During a fierce border battle, Fiercestar was being attacked and was about to be finished off by one of the largest and most vicious cats, but she threw herself at him and over the edge of a gorge. He was not a leader at this point, so he had no extra lives to spare. Fiercestar felt indebted to his sister and felt guilty for her death, and spoke of her with reverence. Therefore, Bloodstar, being Fiercestar`s grandson, looked up to Fiercestar, also felt some of his pain for that.

The story picks up with Savagefang`s grandchild, Roseclaw. She was born as Littlekit, being a small and delicate kit earned her name. At first, she almost seemed like the runt in a litter. She was small and thin, but seemed to be growing just as steadily as her siblings. Her personality was inquisitive and very -I can do it all by my self!!- -like, so her personality was easily predetermined.

She was apprenticed as Patchpaw, in honor of her calico pelt. She was a tall, long-legged apprentice. She didn't look that threatening- long legged, pretty, with a neat pelt, but she had surprising traits that he mentor taught he how to use to her advantage. She was incredibly fast, and had unusually long and dangerous claws. Her mentor taught her to use surprise as an advantage- let her enemies think of her soft until they met her in battle. She refused to do this, and would no let her enemies feel unthreatened by her, but she learned her lesson. About half way through her apprenticeship, she got in a border fight, and practically got ripped to shreds because she tried to take on a full-grown warrior head-on, and almost got killed. She finally accepted that she wasn't top-notch and was still an apprentice, so she looked onto the rest of her life as a warrior with her head a little lower.

When Patchpaw was 10 moons old she was made a warrior after alerting the Clan of an oncoming attack and effectively allowing the clan warning time to prepare and prevent one of the possibly bloodiest battles that could have happened. She was given the name Roseclaw, honoring her misleading appearance.

Roseclaw has been selected by Bloodstar, most likely due to their kinship. The debt that Bloodstar felt and their agreements seemed to appeal to him, giving her a good shot at the deputy position when the time came. She was selected after Ashfur died and Bloodstar wounded, so she was brought in during a difficult time period.

Roseclaw was killed by Sair Fen the Fisher on the sixteenth day of the Moon of First White (2006), leaving Bloodstar's adopted daughter Rosestorm (then Kestrelpaw) to have the rest of her apprenticeship under the guidance of the ThunderClan leader.
