Appearance   Short Description : A Sorrel Abyssinian tom Long Description : Tezcatlipoca is not what one might call extremely fancy in appearance, but he does like to think of himself as part of a rather high breed of cats; and others might think that as well. He is an Abyssinian tom. His fur is a russet shade, and it gleams in the sunlight. It is short and precise, and parts of his fur are darker than others—he does not lack the ticked coat of Abyssinians. His ears and claws aren't very fancy, according to him. He has yellow eyes. He is, though not a victim of malnutrition, slim for a domestic cat. He doesn’t have large muscles, as he is a domestic cat, but he is not lazy or weak. Currently, Tezcatlipoca wears a black collar with small engraved golden designs—a fancy (to him) collar, to say the least—and a rather bland (to him) silver identification tag. Tezcatlipoca is a reddish Abyssinian cat, overall.

Personality     To put it short, Tezcatlipoca is on what one might consider to be the crazy side; or, at least, what one might consider to be on the very easily-drawn in, outgoing side. He is not so crazy as to go do something that seems impossible to him; he might not have too much common sense, but he does have enough to not do that. He has no ideas or plans for the future, but he’d take part in some crazy idea if he got the chance. He is actually a very good listener because he doesn’t interject to tell you you’re wrong, he just listens with wide eyes. On the rare occasion he doesn’t believe you, it’s because it’s too crazy even for him, which means it’s extremely crazy. A smaller part of his personality is his willingness to listen and to accept. He's more of a follower than a leader, but he isn't a straightforward, obedient, respectful cat most of the time. He can be straightforward, obedient, and respectful, of course, but he isn't on most occasions. Tezcatlipoca, altogether, is a bit of a crazy cat, but he still has quite a few of his wits.

History   Key Dates   Born and dubbed Tezcatlipoca in the Moon of Leopard's Rest (2004) Registered as Tezcatlipoca Full History : One night in late autumn/early winter, a litter of four kits was born to Lily, a russet-furred Abyssinian in a house in the city. The father was Quetzalcoatl, a more golden-furred Abyssinian—Quetzalcoatl lived in that same house. They played around together and Lily told them housefolk stories she had heard from her mother. The future Tezcatlipoca, as well as his siblings the future Xolotl, the future Ocelotl, and the future Xochiquetzal, didn't exactly believe them, but they thought that some of them were rather believable. Until they got to be six weeks old, Lily told and the kits listened. At that age, the housefolk decided to sell the kits. Lily, though she knew it had been coming, hissed at them when they came near—but she was forced to, reluctantly, give up her kits. Two kits were sold before Tezcatlipoca was. Tezcatlipoca, as the previous owners named him, had to wait for another week before he was bought by a grumpy old man who needed company. The fourth kit was eventually sold—but that’s not the point. The point is, the somewhat crazy Abyssinian cat got a home, and from then on his life was fairly uneventful. He got used to the fact that his housefolk called him Tezcatlipoca (which was his name when he was bought). He never had an official nickname, but if any cat asked him for one, he would reply with the name of Tezcat, a very short but fitting nickname. To this day, Tezcatlipoca is willing to take part in crazy ideas and he is willing to believe any stories told to him if the storyteller is good enough (though his mind is not set on one in particular), and his craziness has not yet disappeared.
