	Physical Description:	A medium-sized, long legged owl that has a round head with no ear tufts and a white heart-shaped face that frames two dark eyes. Their backsides are brown spotted with white while their breast is cream or white, sometimes speckled. Females are larger, darker, and more spotted below.
	Physical Statistics:	Size: 32-40 cm (13-16 in); Wingspan: 100-125 cm (39-49 in); Weight: 400-700 g (14.12-24.71 ounces)
	Behavior:	Excellent low-light sight along with the ability to hunt their prey by sound alone makes them silent hunters of the night. Their preferred habitat is grasslands and marshes, where their preferred prey- rodents- like to live.
	Social Organization:	Solitary unless a breeding pair with chicks.
	Danger Level:	Low (Dangerous mainly to Kits); Barn Owls favor smaller prey, but hunt at night so have few opportunities to take kits. They might risk attacks on full grown cats, but such incidents are rare.
	Approval Level*:	Moderator; Barn Owls hunt specific territories, and such incidents of attacks are uncommon.
