| Behavior: | The Sandhill Crane feeds in marshy ground by probing with it's bill in addition to hunting the odd small mammal using a home nest (located on the ground) as it's base of operations. | |
| Social Organization: | Most adult Cranes encountered will be one half of a mated pair, and they will watch over their offspring together. | |
| Danger Level: | High (All cats are vulnerable); Sandhill Cranes are large enough to kill a grown cat with their bills, and as they run in pairs almost exclusively this adds to the danger. | |
| Approval Level*: | Moderator; Sandhill Cranes move into swampland to nest, and in accordance they would be a problem for a full season if they took up residence in a clan territory. | |
