	Physical Description:	Belted Kingfishers have a shaggy crest. It's long bill is black with a gray base. Both male and female have a slate blue head and a white collar. There is a large blue band on both of their chest, and they have white underparts. The wings and back are slate blue with white spots. The female has a red band on it's chest.

	Behavior:	Belted Kingfishers are active during the day and live near bodies of water, such as a river. When they are hunting they dive into the water and get a fish.
	Social Organization:	Belted Kingfishers are solitary except when raising young or mating.
