Physical Description: A brown furred rodent whose shade runs the gamut from very pale to very dark. It possess a short, bald tail and a broad, thin-nosed face. They possess around bodies that can cause them to be mistaken for moles prior to a cat getting a good look at the face.
Physical Statistics: Length: 4 - 5.5 Inches (11 - 14 Centimeters)
Weight: 0.5 - 1 Ounce (18 - 30 Grams)
Behavior: They live underground, but come up on and off through the course of the entire day. They can be found year round in addition to this.
Social Organization: Solitary; Unless it is a mother with young they live alone.
Approval Level*: None; No significant environmental effects are indicated by the presence of this creature.
Kill Difficulty: Low; While Northern Short-tailed Voles do not have fighting weaponry, they do have a bite that is numbed by their venom. This can lead to unnoticed wounds that become infected.
Hunting Difficulty: Advanced; Voles are highly sensitive creatures that are easily startled and require a a solid stalk to reliably catch.
Food Quality: Medium; While small they eat protein rich diets that render their flesh extremely nutritious.
