Character Trivia

Fernheart

  • Fernheart started off as a young, somewhat naive warrior, which was a character that Wildlark would fit nicely with her first joining CoSC. That way, if she made any mistakes ICly, she could blame it on Fernheart's character. Of course, she didn't always get away with that excuse.
  • From the start, Wildlark vaguely planned on Fernheart having kits, but the opportunity rose sooner than she hoped when Kitsufox made a new entry to her "things Kitsu wants at CoSC" list.
    • The entry read "For a pair of Bonded Clanner mates who are "In Love" to have at least half of the pair go on to father or bear kits to another cat. and have it be treated as if PERFECTLY NORMAL and non-offensive by the other half of the pair."
    • Not long afterwards, Hedgehogqueen, then the player of Thornberry, contacted Wildlark and proposed the idea of Fernheart bearing Thornberry's kits. Thornberry was already a good friend of Fernheart's and had also already mated with another RiverClan she-cat, Minnowleaf.
    • Wildlark, of course, thought the idea was awesome, and several months later, after waiting for Fernheart to be at a sufficient age to have kits without looking like a Ferncloud, Mistkit was born! *cheers and applause*
  • Fernheart's personality is partially based on some of the earlier she-cats introduced into the Warriors series (i.e. Willowpelt, Bluestar, Cinderpelt), and many of her traits as a mother are from the "classic" queens introduced early on in the series (i.e. Brindleface, Frostfur, Goldenflower).
  • She also has many similarities to Fern from the book Wind Rider, which is how Fernheart got her name. Fern also happened to have a daughter named Mist.
  • When writing up her RP characters' posts, Wildlark likes to listen to music that fits the character's personality and what is currently going on with them. For Fernheart, Wildlark often listens to either "Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)" or "Blinding," both by Florence + the Machine.

Meriwether

  • Meriwether isn't based on any particular character(s), but shares some characteristics with Merrylegs from Black Beauty, Pascal from Felidae, and Peter Pettigrew from the Harry Potter series.
  • He is a Siamese/Maine Coon mix, but it seems that a lot of people (including Wildlark herself) forget about the Maine Coon part.
  • Being the little historian that he is, Meriwether's idol is the medieval ruler Charlamagne.
  • Because pairing names are fun to come up with, Wildlark occasionally refers to the friendship of Meriwether and Osiris as "Merry-O."
  • The names of Meriwether's owners--John and Monica--are (cheesy as it sounds) named after Wildlark's parents. She couldn't come up with any other names, okay?
  • When re-reading Meriwether's posts, Wildlark imagines him speaking in a Yorkshire accent.
  • When writing his posts, she listens to Arcade Fire's The Suburbs, Coldplay's Viva La Vida, and (oddly enough) "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" by Panic! at the Disco.
