Long Description :
Brookstone had a short tortoiseshell pelt that was mainly chocolate-brown, though there were other shades of brown muddled in there as well. Her eyes, too, were brown, the color of muddy waters. Her body was sleekly muscular.

Personality
Brookstone was a quiet, loyal cat who liked her privacy. She worried much over her rambunctious kit as well as over the tom who sired him. Her name reflected her love for water.

Full History :
Brookstone's warrior life was nothing out of the ordinary for a Clan Cat. Her birth and training was considered "normal", not following anything stranger than what was expected during the time. As a warrior, she was committed to her Clan's survival, and when she deemed it was time, she asked Longshadows to sire her litter.
Brookstone's pregnancy was also uneventful, blessed with an easy kitting for a first time mother. She watched out for her only son, and paid close attention to his needs. She knew him to be an rambunctious kit, so she tried to appease his desires by bringing him things from beyond the camp. She tried very hard to keep him in her sights at all times, and although she couldn't, there were plenty of queens in the den that season so that he never got far. She kept her relationship with Longshadows private, although it was public knowledge they at least shared some kind of fondness for each other. After her litter, and when Longshadows was sick, this was even more apparent; Brookstone would sneak visits to the father of her son when she could, though sometimes Heronflight, the medicine cat, would limit the two's contact as a natural precaution against the spread of disease. During Longshadows's bouts of illnesses (he would have three altogether), Brookstone nagged the hard-working warrior to take it easy as his body tried to heal itself. While their son was still an apprentice, Longshadows fell to his third and final battle with greencough. Before his death, Longshadows had a private talk with Brookstone, though he didn't want her to send for their son. She honored this request, though later she would wonder if it was the right decision. That same leaf-bare, which was the worst in memory, Brookstone herself died of disease. Other than Longshadows, she had never looked at any tom in RiverClan as anything but a clanmate, perhaps a testament to her hidden feelings for him. |
