- Cottonwhisker on Flurrytail: Flurrytail has proved a delightful surprise for Cottonwhisker. She first thought the friendship between the she-cat and her son would never be more than that - mainly because of the age gap - but the developments couldn't be more pleasing. Flurrytail's counsel and support guides Fiercestorm through his uncertainties, and her unrelenting persistence to achieve her goals makes her as good a mate for her son as Cottonwhisker could hope. The rift between Rosestorm and Flurrytail worries the calico warrior, though, and the stubbornness of both she-cats makes her doubt that rift will ever heal.
- Fiercestorm on Flurrytail: Fiercestorm thinks of Flurrytail as his closest friend and confidant. He trusts her and is deeply grateful to her for her ability to listen to his problems with patience and be willing to set him straight. He finds her frivolous nature oddly refreshing. He is developing feelings for her, but he is rather oblivious to this fact.
