Decline #1 - Check Results - 16 September 2014
Greetings and welcome to your first go-round in our applications department! Characters ususally go through 2-4 rounds of decline and editing, so do not feel discouraged about the fact that this was declined. CoSC has diffrent rules, and a diffrent approch to Warriors. The Apps process is where new players pick up a ton of these critical details.
In the decline itself I will take the section that I have change requests for and quote it, and then describe the needed changes. (Occasionally, it's just me commenting, but those situations that don't require change will be noted in the text). If you run into any questions, please feel welcome to contact me for clarifications.
APPEARANCE: He doesn't have the distinctive stripes of a tabby, but there are a few slightly darker rings near the end of his tail. - Because CoSC uses real genetics we require very exacting descriptions. This means that you've described a cat that can't exist, because cats with the primitive residual markings will have the "M" shaped forehead mark in addition to the banded tail (sometimes you'll see the forehead mark without the banded tail, but not the other way around).
PERSONALITY: Despite this, he does love his Clanmates, and would lay down his life for any one of them. - Please note that this is not a request for change, just me making sure that you know something about the game before you commit yourself. We expect players to play the sheet they've written. This would mean that, even if he and clanmate didn't get along, he would be willing to die for them when it came down to it. I just like to warn people before I approve a sheet with an absolute in it.
HISTORY
- Birchpaw simultaneously looked up to and was jealous of Mistpaw, because of her skill in fighting and natural ability for battle tactics. He could never seem to catch up to her progress in that field, but soon discovered that he was very good at hunting. - CoSC does not order Warrior Training in the same way as most Warrior games. This document covers it in more detail, but most cats will first be taught hunting and then start learning more than "intellectually" about combat. Chances are he would have out-shown his sister in the early hunting lessons, and then discovered his limitations when they really started to learn fighting.
- Birchflight still misses his lost family - He still has a living mother and living brother. If you don't wish to kill them off you are expected to create sheets and put them up for adoption (with resolutions for them in mind) by the other players.
This is a great start! I can tell you did a lot of reading! It really paid off here! If you have any Questions. about the decline just let me know. It'll be no time at all before you're set loose in character. I'm looking forward to it. Kitsufox Fox's Den 13:35, 16 September 2014 (CDT)
Approval Note - 29 September 2014
I remember how school gets. You didn't take too long. I actually spent close to 5 days in the woods at a LARP, so I wouldn't have gotten to your sheet last week anyways. For Sootwhisker, if you leave her alive, then you make a sheet and put her up for adoption and there's no reneging on the matter. You'd be stuck with an NPC that you'd have to handle the resolution RP for at the date when agree on when you put the NPC through approvals next. If you want to tag Sootwhisker into the bout of illness, that's fine, but if you put him up for adoption then he ends up in the game and will have to be "resolved" in the current timeline.
When you decide what you're going to do, just let me know. Make sure to make a final decision and end the character sheet (if needed) before you start RPing. Any questions, let me know.
