(Accepted) Application from Quicksilver

I think I did pretty good. Quicksilver
Unfortunatly I need to deny your application (as it stands) for joining the list of imagery artists. Your picture shows a mottled brown, yes... But something that is decidedly not tabby. Additionally, it lacks shading altogether. (I also dislike the font, but that's of lesser concern than most things. I suggest 04b_03 from dafont.com). Without proper tabby markings and shading I have to say no due to the lack of meeting all criteria on the list of requirements for the artwork.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 22:55, 8 August 2010 (CDT)

The second draft is up above. I think I did the tabby markings okay, but I'm not so sure about the shading. Quicksilver 10:21, 10 August 2010 (CDT)

Since you're working continually on this I'll mark it pending for now. And you're right, it's completely unshaded as of yet. So it's still denied at this point. The tabby markings are passable, but I suggest studying tabbies for awhile, and really getting a feel for how they look. There are some spots where the stripes don't really reflect a typical tabby pattern. You're making good progress, though.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 11:20, 10 August 2010 (CDT)

I added the shading. Its muh more noticable now. Quicksilver

I had to change it completely because of my character's description change. I hope you like it! Quicksilver 21:22, August 26 (CDT)

More shading. I don't see anything but tabby. Needs to have a bit of a three dimensional look.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 07:59, 27 August 2010 (CDT)

I had to completely redo it because of some major changes in my character sheet. I feel really confident about the shading in this one. Hope you like it!

Your shading is improving, but the rear quarter, tail, head and feet are completely ignored in your efforts... There's a very subtle shading thru the body, and the darker legs that are farther away from the camera... But you're not yet creating that sense of light and three dimensions.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 09:52, 5 September 2010 (CDT)

I worked on the shading some more. Any points for improvement? Quicksilver

I've decided its too hard to try out with a tortie so I decided to use Hazekit. I think it's pretty decent. Quicksilver 21:24, 28 September 2010 (CDT)

I think you'll understand my saying this... But while your take on Hazekit is solid... I have concerns about giving you a green-light as an artist with the imagery project. Thus, I'm going to give you what I'll think of as a yellow-light. You can do solid cats, but your first tabby will need to be checked by me (it can be checked via PM, instead of publicly, however).  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 21:37, 28 September 2010 (CDT)
