Weather Setup

The weather pages for the game are important, and actually rather simple to use.

Importing Old Weather

Page Setup

Weather pages should be started by consulting the Weather Records List. Click on the redlink of the moon you would like to import. In the box at the top of the editing page, click the link that reads 'Weather' following the words 'This article is for:'. Your page is now setup and ready to have information added.

Introduction

At the top of the page, you'll see {{Weather-intro|moonname=|moonnum=|moonyear=|season=|icdates=|oocdates=|general=|brief=}} in the editing box. This is the {{Weather-intro}} Template, and will be used to create the table with the general weather information at the top of the page. Please populate the following fields with the corresponding information from the old website.

moonname - Enter the name, in Cat-lingo, of the moon in question.

moonnum - Enter the number of the moon within the year in question. This is not the same numbering system that is used to configure ages. It's the number following the dash in the URL for the page you're editing.

moonyear - It's the IC year the moon belongs to. It's the number directly before the dash in the URL of the page you are editing.

season - The season the moon belongs to, formated as 'Cat Season (Human Season)'.

icdates - The IC Dates that the moon spanned. Simply copy & paste these directly from the old site's weather, but convert the 3 character month code into the full name of the month.

oocdates - The OOC Dates that moon spanned. Simply copy & paste these directly from the old site's weather, but convert the 3 character month code into the full name of the month.

general - A general description of the weather for the moon. Copy & paste directly from the old site's weather.

brief - A listing of all major weather events in the moon. Copy & paste directly from the old site's weather, and convert to Wikicode.

Individual Days

Lower on the page, you'll see 29 entries of the {{Weather}} template that look like {{Weather|moon=##|temp=|cond=|icdate=|rldate=}}, each with it's own number in the little moon box. Fill all the fields out in accordance with the following information you'll locate in the entry for the day on the old website that corresponds to the number listed in moon.

moon: Already filled out. This indicates which day listing you should pull information from on the old website.

temp: The temperature zone. Copy & Paste from the old site. If the one on the old website is abbreviated, translate it into the full meaning in accordance with the guide.

cond: The conditions on the day. Copy & Paste from the old site.

icdate: Copy & Paste the 'Human IC Date Correlation' from the old website. Please convert the 3 character month code into the full name of the month.

rldate: Copy & Pate the 'RL Date Correlation(s)' from the old website. Please convert the 3 character month codes into the full names of the months.

Please note that there will be 29 moons listed on the new site, and only 28 on the old site. This is because Kitsufox has stupid moments, and apparently had one of her largest yet when she coded the original weather system. She'll be personally addressing and correcting the error to re-incorporate the missing days and give them weather.

Creating New Weather

Please do not. Yet. Kitsu will provide guidelines once things are transfered.
