While the killingcough is still gone, seemingly vanished just as quickly as it arrived, the clans are still in pain from the losses they suffered (some more so than others). The dangers of winter are foremost on the minds of the majority of cats rather than any other threat that might stalk the moors, riverbanks, swamps and forests. As the Moon of Melting Waters breaks over the forest the coming thaw is a welcome change from the bitter cold that has been suffered. Both ShadowClan and RiverClan have felt the fangs of a fox in their midst, but the carnage is mild compared to the past days of the Fisher who once stalked the forest.
