Number of Accounts Policy Expanded

Role Play

Characters

The only characters that may be used in role play are those that appear in the Viewer section of the character system. Role playing using unaccepted characters is not permitted. Characters Appearances must always fit the Short Description that was assigned by the Administration. All characters must also comply with CoSC Genetics Policy in which all characters must be genetically possible.

Posting

Posts must meet a minimum length requirement of 3 complete sentences with longer posts being preferred. Players who make posts of less than 3 sentences will receive a formal warning. Those who receive consistent warnings may be expelled from the game at the discretion of the game administrators.

Consent

All Role Play happening on CoSC is intended to be consensual. All players involved and effected by a thread must exhibit willingness to participate and accept the result. "Intense" scenes, such as those that involve fighting, death, or other mature themes, are particularly subject to this policy. ICA=ICC Policy will always take precedent over the Consent Policy in role play, and players will be considered to have consented to the results of extreme actions (such as attacking another or smarting off to their leader) simply by taking them to avoid Retroactive Continuity (retcon) in which RP is considered never to have happened for reasons of poor player judgment.

ICA=ICC

The acronym "ICA=ICC" translates as "In Character Actions Equal In Character Consequences". This rule means that your character's actions with have In Character (IC) consequences. By doing something using unsound judgment a player as automatically consented to the results of the scene. If this results in extreme consequences for your character, so be it.

Metaplaying & Powerplaying

The using of information you know Out of Character (OOC) in an In Character (IC) Situation or creating a perfect and untouchable in combat, or controlling another person's character in Role Play without their consent or the consent of the staff to do so.

Character Slots & Limitations

This policy is currently in revision to clarify and organize the information better. The actual contents of the policy will not be changed, and thus the old version can still be referenced while updates are underway. Direct any questions or suggestions to Kitsufox.
Players are limited to certain numbers of characters (as described on the expanded policy page) and must keep those characters in compliance with various limitations and other instructions. Players with more characters than permitted, or with characters outside the given limitations will loose the most recently created/acquired of those characters.
Expanded Character Slots & Limitations Policy

Old Version

Pending Character Limitation: No player may have more than one (1) character undergoing the approvals process at one time. This is to prevent huge backlogs and problems with excessive characters pending at once belonging to a single player.
Import Exception: During the import period a player may have as many pending imports as necessary to get all of their characters into the game as quickly as possible.
NPC Parents of PCs Exception': To increase the speed of creation of NPC Parents for PCs, the NPC Parents of a newly approved PC may both be pending simultaneously, but NO new PCs can be pending until those NPCs are attended to.
Ranked Characters Limitation
Leadership Group: No player may possess more than one (1) Leadership Group Ranked Character (A Leader or Deputy).
Spiritual Group: No player may possess more than one (1) Spiritual Group Ranked Character (A Medicine Cat or Medicine Cat's Apprentice).
RCL Exception: Admins may NPC Leader or Spiritual Ranks as required.
Character Slots
Clan Characters: Each player is granted 4 Clan Character Slots that may be used to create cats who are members of ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan and/or ShadowClan.
Domestic Cat: Each player is granted a single Domestic Cat Character Slot that may be used to create a Domestic Feline (What are called Kittypets at most games).
Feral/Semi-Feral Character: Each player who meets the requirments for the creation of Feral and/or Semi-feral characters as listed on the Non-Clan Character Creation Page is eligible to create 1 Feral or Semi-feral character.
Staff Character Slots: Members of the Staff receive a number of extra characters based on their position in the staff. Junior Staff members receive 1 extra slot. Staff members receive 2 extra slots. Senior Staff members receive 3 extra slots. Moderators receive 4 extra slots. Administrators receive 5 extra slots. These slots may be used to create any type of character.
Non-Sloted Characters
Characters falling into the following categories do not count against the totals for the above listed slots.
Elder Clan Member: Each player has an unlimited number of slots for elders that do not count towards your Clan Character Slot Limit. These slots can only be used via In Character (IC) promotion.
Non-Player Characters (NPC): NPCs do not count towards your character slot limits, but are generally limited to creating parents for your PC (which are preferred to have passed on, in most cases, or expected to pass on fairly early in the characters developing IC History). Players may be asked to eliminate excessive NPCs to make room for PCs at any time, and are expected to comply with this request.
Special Character Slot Situations
Cats of Camelot: A character in the Cats of Camelot does not count towards any of a player's traditional slot, but please remember that in the situation that the character looses their position in the CoC they would be required to return to their original rank. In light of this, it is advisable to keep the slot that would receive that character open. Any time in which a violation of limitation policy occurs, the player is expected to report to the admins and surrender characters until they fall back within limits or promptly arrange a death for the excess character.
Non-transfer of Slot Types
Character slots cannot be transferred for trade between types. If you do not wish to play a character of a certain type, you cannot transfer that slot to turn it into another type.

Limitation & Regulation of Prophecy

Prophecies must be approved before they appear in Role Play by Game Administrators and any other related Leader/Deputy/Medicine Cat Players. Omens must be approved before they appear in Role Play by Game Administrators and any other related Leader/Deputy/Medicine Cat Players. Clouds over the moon at any Gathering can only be announced by Game Administrators .
Plots with any sort of prophecy, visitations by StarClan cats, or the like, must be approved before they appear in Role Play by Game Administrators and any other related Leader/Deputy/Medicine Cat Players.
