Announcement

As there appear to be some misunderstandings as to what it is and isn't acceptable to change on one's character sheet, we're going to cover these finer points here.'

THINGS YOU ARE SHOULD NOT EDIT

Editing these items are considered grounds for expulsion from the game when done without compliance with the rules.

• Clan: Edit only to reflect RP events that constitute a change of clan membership. These are RARE here.
• Age: Should really not be edited, but age may be altered by special permission from the admin team in cases where players wish to put together families post approval. Work with the staff on this, though.
• Rank: Should only be edited to reflect RP events that have happened on screen, or to reflect offscreen events approved by your area moderator.
• Gender: May only be altered to "Spayed She-cat" if the cat is female, or "Neutered Tom" if the cat is male when supported by RP. Other changes are not permitted to gender.
• Short Description: Short description changes should be rare, and reflect the addition of things like scars to cats. Dramatic changes of marking of color are not permitted. SDescs must be changed through the admin team, so changes must go through them anyways. Changes like editions of well know personality hints might also be allowed if RP is there to support the idea that this is broadly known on a public level.
• Sire/Dame: May only be changed when players are trying to create families that were not there at approval time. Work with the admin team on these, and never remove family that has approved NPC sheets from a character sheet.
• Sibling Lists: Again, work with the admin team and only do it when changes are either supported by IC births or you're trying to build family out of characters that were not originally approved that way.

THINGS YOU ARE PERMITTED TO EDIT

The system permits editing of the following items, but I'm covering the finer points of the ways in which it is appropriate to edit them.

• NAME: Name should be edited ONLY to reflect RP. Changing your character's name is inappropriate for any other reason.
• NAME HISTORY: Name history may only be edited to reflect RPed out changes.
• PERSONALITY: Changes should be to improve quality, but not change content, unless those changes are to reflect changes that time and role play has wrought on your character.
• APPEARANCE: Changes to improve quality are always acceptable. Changes in content that are not for added scars or aging are unacceptable. Your appearance must always reflect your Short Description.
• HISTORY: Changes to improve quality are always acceptable. Changes to add new events are always acceptable. Changing events is unacceptable.
• OTHER FAMILY: Changes to reflect adoptions, acceptable. Also adding new PC family is acceptable. Making up new family members is unacceptable.
