Long Description :
Tipping the scales at 19 pounds, Astareal is a monstrous cat (even for a half-persian). His extraordinary size stems partially from his sire, a "Ragdoll" of dubious purity.
Underneath his long, fluffy fur lies a squarely build and solidly muscled frame. His fur is creamy gray over the bulk of his body, darkening into a richer blue shade over face, ears, paws and tail. His eyes are also blue, but pale and flecked with a darker shade of the same.

Personality
Astarael isn't much of a thinker, preferring to sit back and let others make his choices for him. He would much rather acquiesce to the words of those he trusts to make his choices for him than he would make his own decisions. He does, however, have a distrustful streak. This distrust was created by his sister's machinations to ensure that her personal warrior would be difficult to sway from her service.
He is always eager to go into combat, thrilling in the squalls of his (frequently smaller) opposition. He revels in the thrill of bloodshed and the chase, having no qualms with causing both violence and death. Few times, however, are such endeavors his own idea. Astarael rarely has the required self-centered point of view to feel the need to attack someone else unless they possess something he desires or they start things. This changes quickly, however, when the insult or slight is directed at his Dyrim.

History

Full History :
In the overcrowded home of what might easily be called a "Crazy Cat Lady", Astarael was born to a purebreed persian called <SOMETHING> when she bore a massive seven kitten litter. The sires of the kittens were varied, but all bore the marks of persian blood in their short faces and stocky builds.
Largest of his litter, Astarael never wanted for anything. He was able to shove his smaller siblings out of the way with ease when they were in it, he was solid enough as soon as he was weaned to manage the anger and stresses of the other cats pressed so tightly into the house, and when his silver-tounged sister Dyrim attached herself to him he welcomed her boldness and cleverness without hesitation. He thrived on being needed. He was not a thinker, and she was. So he began to let her think for him. He thrived as Dyrim's personal warrior, fighting her fights without hesitation and ensuring that none would harm his elegant and intelligent sister. She kept his life from being complicated by making the choices for the pair and frequently encouraging him in the violence he was fast growing to enjoy as more than just a means to an end. She also worked to ensure that her most dangerous weapon could not be turned against her, taking the time to imbue him with a paranoia that others will try to manipulate him for their own purposes and that only her suggestions where made in truth as his dear sister. |
