Long Description :
Coldcloud was a short-furred 'van' she-cat with brilliant, icy blue eyes, a long muzzle, and a soft pink nose. Her pelt was white save for her golden-red ears and tail. She was built lean and wiry, and though her limbs had a delicate look to them, she was not to be underestimated in battle, with her quick reflexes and surprising strength.

Personality
Coldcloud was frigidly distant and ill-tempered towards other cats, and would often be seen darkly brooding by herself when she was not busy with her warrior duties; at least up until Pinetap came along and melted her frozen heart. Once she slowly fell in love with the dark brown warrior, Coldcloud revealed her tender-hearted, anxious, caring side. She became an entirely new cat, more inclined to show displays of affection, and less likely to snap at her fellow cats when they rubbed her fur the wrong way.

History
Key Dates
Full History :
After her parents died in a battle of the Great War, Coldcloud, the then-Coldpaw, retreated into herself. In order to keep her grief and confusion at bay, she hid behind an icy, indifferent mask and buried herself in training for battles and hunting to try to forget her pain. But her careful defenses of her heart all fell away when she, as an apprentice, went on a hunting patrol with the amicable, compassionate Pinetap, then Pinepaw. The tabby tom had fallen in love with her as soon as he saw her, and though Coldpaw ignored him and his attempts to befriend her at first, Pinepaw did not give up. Coldpaw gradually succumbed to his persistent, patient kindness, his well-timed jokes, and his eagerness to listen and to understand. Before long, she found herself returning his love. When she discovered she was pregnant with his kits, she was delighted. Two moons before she gave birth, however, Pinetap died at the jaws of a Twoleg's dog. To make matters worse for her already fragile heart, two of her four kits did not survive through the birth. Guilty and badly distraught, only the fact that her remaining two kits, named Spicekit and Yellowkit, needed her staved off Coldcloud's despair and prevented her from completely reverting to the bristly, cold she-cat she had been before meeting Pinetap.
She raised her children as best she could, and felt immensely proud... and sad, as she watched them touch noses with their mentors. Mere days after her sons had become apprentices, while on a border patrol, she lost her balance on the edge of SilverFall Gorge and fell into the tumbling waters. Her body was never found. |
