Appearance   Short Description : A blue-eyed cream tom with residual tabby markings and a sleek build Long Description : Birchflight is, for the most part, a soft cream colour. There is white on his muzzle, chest, and both forepaws. His eyes are light blue, and his nose and paw pads are a rosy pink. He doesn't have the distinctive stripes of a tabby, but there are a few slightly darker rings near the end of his tail and an “M” shaped marking on his head. Birchflight's fur is very sleek and rather short on the surface, but he has a fairly dense undercoat. With a semi-foreign body type, his best traits are speed and agility, rather than strength or power.

Personality     Birchflight has rather high expectations of himself, and tends to be a bit of a perfectionist. He is very devoted to his Clan, and will follow orders without a second thought. He tries to be a honest as possible, even if it might mean hurting another cat's feelings, because he believes you can't improve yourself if you don't know where your faults are. Most of the time, Birchflight doesn't like to be alone and is quite friendly. However, he can sometimes bottle up his feelings and distance himself from others emotionally. Despite this, he does love his Clanmates, and will do anything within his power to help them.

History   Key Dates   Born Birchkit in the Moon of Long Nights (2007) Apprenticed as Birchpaw in the Moon of Running Prey (2008) Named a Warrior as Birchflight in the Moon of Leopard's Rest (2008) Full History : Born to the sleek calico she-cat Dapplefoot and powerfully built tom Cedarstrike, Birchkit was much smaller than his two siblings Sootkit and Mistkit. Some worried that he wouldn't make it in the harsh cold of leaf-bare, but he pulled through just fine. As a kit, it quickly became evident that Birchkit wasn't as strong as his littermates, especially Mistkit. She had much the same body type as their father and could often best her brothers in play fights. Because of this, Birchkit started to think that he wasn't good enough, and had to try harder. He couldn't wait to become an apprentice so he could begin training. Just a couple moons before he became an apprentice, their father moved to the elders den. Once Birchpaw was an apprentice, he put all his effort into becoming the best warrior he could be. Although he was very intuitive, he would sometimes get frustrated when he couldn't do something right, and his mentor had to explain to him multiple times that you can't always get things on the first try. Birchpaw was very happy, however, when he found that he could hunt very well. His lithe body was built for chasing prey through the forest. He could battle decently, it would never be his forte. Throughout their apprenticeship, Birchpaw and Sootpaw remained very close. They would often ask their mentors if they could train or hunt together. Mistpaw, on the contrary, rarely spent quality time with her brothers. She and Birchpaw had never been particularly close, and that distance only increased as they grew older. Soon enough, the day of their warrior ceremony arrived and they were all made warriors together. Not long after they became warriors, their father Cedarstrike passed away. All three siblings grieved along with their Clan, although they had figured it would happen soon. Only a few moons later, the rest of his family died of illness. Birchflight still misses his lost family now and then, but overall he's quite happy living in RiverClan.
