:The fur on Chaos’s legs, his underbelly, his chest, his throat, the lower halves of his flanks, and part of his muzzle is a soft white, like fallen snow. Between each of his grey-green eyes and his bright pink nose, there is a very small patch of the same white color. The other part of his pelt, however, is composed of patches of ginger tabby fur. His back and the upper halves of his flanks are completely cloaked in this ginger tabby pattern, and most of his head is as well. Chaos’s tail has the same general markings, but the stripes become rings and are much darker. Chaos’s ears are in fairly good shape, not tattered or torn as you might expect in a feral cat, but his muzzle is a different story. The scars on it from his quarrel with another cat moons ago have faded a little, but they are still visible. His eyes are a grey-green color. Besides his nose and eyes, the only part of him that isn’t either ginger or white is his paw-pads, which are a paler pink than his nose.

Personality
:Chaos has a tendency to attempt to be very manipulative, and he always imagines himself as the top cat in the "game of life", as he calls it. Chaos thinks rather highly of himself, but he tries not to show or say it; he attempts to seem charismatic and humble in his words and actions in order to win over the cat he's talking to so he can use them somehow. Chaos greatly fears death, so he tries to be careful in all activities. His fuse is fairly short, but he tends to either let out his anger in a sarcastic comment or keep it in until he gets too frustrated -- he does not want to turn cats against him. Chaos loves his name because of its rather dark meaning. He imagines that he does create chaos, though he isn't sure how.
Chaos tends to talk quite a lot, and can be rather upbeat and, in his view, charming at times, preferring to waltz right into a group of cats and introduce himself than linger behind. Most of the time, however, some new plan is sitting in the back of his mind, waiting to be developed and executed. His plans, in his opinion, generally aren't very major; they often don't get bigger than scaring off rival rogues or raiding Twoleg gardens, but he likes to think they're vastly important. Chaos would love to create and execute a major, self-beneficial (aka power-gaining) plan someday, but for now is playing it safe, not wishing to inflict damage upon himself if his plot backfires. |
History
Key Dates
Full History :
:Insanity didn’t stick around with his mate and kit for long, as is usual with feral cats, but he did care enough to insist upon the kit’s name: Chaos. Sevgi despised the name, and was furious that Insanity wanted to name their kit that, but he was a remarkably good arguer, and soon she was swayed. She never did change her kit's name, fearing that she wouldn't be able to think of anything other than something that would remind her of her daughter Hatshepsut (Chaos's maternal half-sister), who had died at just two moons due to illness. When she had protested the name Chaos, she hadn't had a name in mind; she'd just disliked Insanity's idea.
Chaos’s father left the family when his kit was about one or two moons, leaving Sevgi and Chaos alone. Sevgi cared about her kit quite a lot--she had always cared about kits, but she was even more protective because of Hatshepsut's death--and often taught him quick little things about living life as a feral cat: how to hunt, ways to avoid Twolegs, etc. Chaos didn’t grow up in what most might call the harshest environment, but there was some sorrow in his life: his mother’s death. It didn’t actually hurt him that much, but Chaos had never felt this much sadness before. He was fourteen moons old--just one moon over a year--so he was, as is expected for cats even much younger than he was, completely self-reliant when a Two-leg monster struck her, but something inside him still longed for her comfort. But Sevgi, though an important cat in his life, was soon forgotten. A clever rogue named Kadir met with him. Kadir had big plans to ambush Clan patrols and take over the Clans. Chaos had seen very little of the Clans, but Kadir made them sound like ferocious cats led by merciless tyrants. Kadir only had two or three followers, but Chaos joined, feeling that the little group would surely grow bigger and then be able to conquer the Clans. It almost worked out that way, but it didn't. Chaos learned a lot about strategy and careful planning, as Kadir often thought out loud, but the execution was prevented by an unfortunate incident. Kadir spent lots of time perfecting his crazy ideas, and adding tons of backup plans, and the group was convinced that the plan would work. On the way to the execution of the first plan, a fox found the group and ruined the plan by killing Kadir. The group dispersed, now lacking a central strategist. Chaos walked away from their former meeting place with an irritated expression on his face and the newly gained knowledge that planning is essential, but that one has to plan for small disturbances as well as big ones. He kept that it mind all throughout the rest of his life, and, over time, developed his current personality, much of which is based on that concept. He never dared to forget this idea, as he could imagine situations when he wanted to do something but would completely fail unless he put a lot of planning into it. This hasn't happened, but he thinks it could, and a few minor versions of it have happened. A few moons later after beginning to develop this new attitude, he got into a scrap with another cat. The cat wasn’t too experienced, and Chaos had picked up a couple moves from the squabbles that the group he was in had (and a couple from his mother). His muzzle still got tattered up pretty badly, though, giving him a more (in his perspective) feral look and less of an oh-I’m-just-a-lost-housecat appearance. This became his thing to boast about, nearly erasing the respective demises of Sevgi and Kadir from his mind. After the scuffle, life was relatively quiet (not perfect, obviously, given that the execution of several of his plans didn't turn out quite the way he wanted them to), giving Chaos a nice break from the meaning of his name. |
