Physical Description: The White-crowned Sparrow has a pale gray face, nape, throat, and chest. Its wings and back are streaked with brown and white, and it has a short orange or pink bill. While young, these sparrows sport white and reddish-brown stripes on their head, but eventually develop the adult black and white striped head.
Physical Statistics: Length: 5.9 - 6.3 Inches (15 - 16 Centimeters)
Weight: 0.9 - 1 Ounce (25 - 28 Grams)
Wingspan: 8.3 - 9.4 Inches (21 - 24 Centimeters)
Behavior: These birds migrate through the clan lands during autumn and spring. They prefer open lands intermixed with the cover of thickets, shrubs, and brush, and can be seen hopping through low-lying plant life or across the ground in search of food.
Social Organization: White-crowned Sparrows migrate in vast numbers and pair off when they arrive at their breeding ground, but at the end of the summer, the pairs part ways and spend the winter in solitude.
Approval Level*: Moderator; White-crowned Sparrows seldom alight to the clans; they only pass over the clan lands while migrating to and from their northern breeding grounds.
Kill Difficulty: Low; They are a great deal smaller than cats and have no way of fending off attacks.
Hunting Difficulty: Advanced; White-crowned sparrows will take to the sky and sound an alarm call if they sense predators.
Food Quality: Medium; White-crowned sparrows, as fresh-kill, are not large enough to share among more than one cat, but their meat is flavorful and nourishing.
*Some creatures require approval to appear in RP. This is to make sure the Admins and Mods who need to know are fully aware of a species currently active in their area.
These ratings are mainly for those creatures that are uncommon or pose a threat of some sort to the cats.
