Vox Populi

  • Heathertail on Elmstar: Heathertail enjoys being around the deputy and considers him a friend and one worthy of talking to. She supports his rise to deputy, and knows he will do a good job, he just has to trust himself.
  • Oakclaw on Elmstar: Oakclaw's view on Elmstar as ShadowClan deputy is influenced by his memories of Ravenwing. He has never been close to him, but what he sees of Elmstar's hesitation and feelings of insecurity makes Oakclaw wonder if Elmstar was really a good choice as deputy. He fears ShadowClan will be led astray if anything happens to Whitestar, and that Elmstar will not be able to stand his ground against the other Clans.
  • Webfoot on Elmstar: Webfoot believes Elmstar to be a very competent, reliable cat, and supports his deputyship. He only finds fault in the fact that Elmstar doesn't seem to be a cat who trusts himself very much, and is slightly worried that he will not do a fantastic job as deputy and possibly leader. Otherwise, he feels that Elmstar was a good choice.
  • Sagepelt on Elmstar: Sagepelt feels that Elmstar is a unconfident, unsure tom who often doubts and second-guesses himself. She has a lot of compassion for the troubled deputy, and worries that his low self-esteem will make him a poor leader. Nevertheless, she holds on to the belief that he will come to accept himself and his position in time, and that he is a deep-down good and unselfish cat who will try to do what's best for ShadowClan.
  • Squirrelfur on Elmstar: Squirrelfur completley supports Elmstar's leadership. She supports whatever decision he makes because she has complete trust in him and will make the best decision for the Clan. Recently she has started to view Elmstar as a good friend along with being an excellent leader.
  • Fogdancer on Elmstar: Fogdancer appreciates her leader's humility and lack of overconfidence, although she can easily see the opposite sides of these traits---insecurity and hesitance---neither of which is fitting for a leader. She does her best, by her simple obedience and support, to buoy Elmstar's confidence. She knows that Elmstar is a sincerely dedicated leader who give his all for ShadowClan.
  • Charredleaf on Elmstar: Charredleaf, as a RiverClan warrior, hasn't had much contact with Elmstar. However, she's glad ShadowClan has him as leader, if only because she doesn't view Elmstar as a threat. Charredleaf doesn't understand Elmstar, nor his diplomatic tendencies; all she cares about is that his relatively peaceable approach to things can only (in her mind) be good for RiverClan.
