Long Description :

Slightbranch was a willowy she-cat with blue-green eyes. Her wispy, semi-long pelt was mostly white, save for pale ginger tabby fur on her broad face, long striped tail, and slender front legs.

Personality

Slightbranch was a cautious, solemn she-cat of few words. Detached and coolly polite around cats she didn't know, it would usually take her a while to warm up to and trust others. She had a competitive streak, a great deal of pride, and carried herself with silent dignity. However, she also had a soft spot for kits, and even before she became a mother, Slightbranch could be seen patiently watching over another queen's litter, quiet and gentle.

Full History :

As an apprentice, Stripedpaw and Firepaw competed in their training, each trying to surpass the other. While Firepaw treated the whole thing like a game, Stripedpaw was far more grim. But it soon became apparent that the tom was far stronger and battle-smart than Stripedpaw could ever hope to be. When he became a warrior as Firecoat one moon earlier than customary, Slightbranch was intensely jealous (not that she'd ever admit it). However, with her envy came an admiration for the younger warrior, and Slightbranch began to see Firecoat with new eyes. She grew to love his cheerfulness and easy laugh, as well his raw power and bravery when facing the enemy Clans. Firecoat was elated when she told him of her growing feeling for him, not only because this solidified his swelling vanity, but also because he himself took a fancy to his apprenticehood rival. Soon, Slightbranch was heavy with Firecoat's kits. But the mates' happiness was shattered when Firecoat was slain a moon before their children were born. The mother staved off her grief by caring for her kits, a tom-kit named Stormykit and a she-kit named Skykit. She was fiercely proud of both of them when Skykit became Skypaw, then Skyflame as the clan's medicine cat, and Stormykit Stormypaw, then Firestorm, as he followed the warrior path and became a father to three kits. But tragedy struck yet again, when Firestorm cracked and killed his mate and two of his three children before Breezestar managed to put him down. Slightbranch lost the will to live after losing not only her mate, but her son and two grandchildren as well, and died shortly afterwards, in the Moon of First White (2004).
