This page documents the process and the various applicable rules to applying for a litter here at CoSC. Please remember that any pairing applying for a litter must be filed with the Relationship Tracking section of this department to even be considered.

RULES

General

1. Clicking the Submit button on any edit containing the "Sire's Approval" or "Dame's Approval" sections included is considered IC Consent that the pregnancy will be carried/sired if approved. Regardless of circumstances produced by the admins.
2. Inter-clan relationships should not be started without Administrator Approval before that relationship is begun.
3. Neutered Toms may not sire litters. Nor may spayed females bear them.
4. A queen is pregnant for 9 weeks (57-70 days). This must be RPed. Just not RPing the character until the birth of the litter will result in all kits being stillborn.
5. Either player of either half of the pairing may start the request, but only the player of the sire may add the "Sire's Approval" Section, and only the player of the dame may add the "Dame's Approval" Section. Un-rightful addition of either template immediately voids the request, and all future requests for litters by this pairing without discussion with the admins first.
6. Queen's may only breed with PC characters. The only situations in which NPCs will sire litters are those specifically designed and approved by game administrators for the good of the game.
7. The Sire and Dame of a litter may not be played by the same Player.
8. Both the Sire and Dame characters must have genotypes. (EXCEPTION: If you have a filed Genotype request outstanding, you may submit a litter request and send a polite Message to Kitsufox with the Subject "Expedite Genotype: <CHARNAME>". Each character must have their own, separate expedite request via a separate PM.

Age

1. The youngest a cat may breed is 6 Moons.
2. Female cats less than 12 moons and older than 40 moons of age will be subject to a 25% chance of complication.
3. A female will add 1% to the complication chance for every moon beyond 40, maximizing at 50% (excluding any additions at the discretion of the approving Administrator which are able to take the complication possibility as high as 75%).

Application Process

1. The player of the sire or dame fills out the Litter Information section of the form.
2. The player of the dame fills out the 'Dame's Approval' section for the form after hitting the 'add another' button in the appropriate section.
3. The player of the sire fills out the 'Sire's Approval' section for the form after hitting the 'add another' button in the appropriate section.
4. The Admin Team reviews the request, and either Approves or Denies the request using the appropriate templates.
5. If the litter is approved, the Admins will decide on the offspring and place the information in the approved application.
6. The players of the parents decide how they wish to adopt out the kits, and file any additional documentation that is needed.

Please enter in the box 'Sirename x Damename'
In the case of litters beyond the first, use 'Sirename x Damename #'
in which '#' becomes the appropriate sequential number for the litter.
