Forum - Affiliate Instructions & Guidelines

CoSC has been without affiliates for some time, and is proud to resume having them as of 18 JULY 2010. This post contains the guidelines, instructions and expectations for affiliating with CoSC.

Guidelines

Your Site May NOT Contain:

• Pornography or content that goes against the TOS of our hosting service, Surpass Hosting.
• Plagiarism or use of original materials from any without the permissions of those who created them. This includes copying any sections of Secrets of the Clans in a word for word fashion.
• Illegal content (Any we see will be reported to the proper authorities).

Your Banner Must be:

• In a color scheme that does not clash violently with the CoSC Website.
• Labeled with some indication of your websites' name. Banners without them will not be posted.

Your Site MUST Contain*:

• A location for our banner to be applied that is stationary. This means no scrolling and no marquee.
• A location for our banner to be applied that is on every page.
• A location for our banner that is visually distinct from any marquee or scrolling "affiliates" ¹
• A location for our banner that is shared by no more than five (5) other banners.

* Your site will be afforded the same considerations.

1: The word "Affiliate" means "officially attach or connect (a subsidiary group or a person) to an organization". I doubt any site that has a list of 20 - 30 affiliates actually knows anything more about those sites than that they wished to trade links. I (Kitsufox) consider affiliates to be sites that I admire, respect, and would personally consider joining. I understand that most warriors games consider this to be a "Sister Site".

Explanations of Select Fields

Contact Email: The email to which you wish Kitsu to contact you with the results of the application.

Your Site Is: A description that says in a few words what your site does. Examples: Role Playing Game, Personal Website, Link Directory

Any Warnings: Disclaimers or other things that you feel are important to share with people considering joining the site. Example: Site contains mature themes and possess no rules governing such themes.

LINKCODE: Replace with the full affiliate button link code. Remember to take the asterisk (*) out of the PRE close tag.

Process

1. Fill out the application above and start a new thread with the topic "Affiliate Request: SITENAME" in which you replace SITENAME with the name of your website.
2. Await acceptance or denial.
3. Do one of the following:
   • If Declined: Do nothing
   • If Accepted: You will be contact via Email and informed of acceptance. Your banner will be placed on our affiliates list. You will have 72 hours in which to post the CoSC Banner (if you have not already done so).
