The Rules

The laws of this chunk of land. These guidelines apply directly to the goings on here in the Creation Zone.

  1. If you have a pending request that an artist is taking too long on, you must CANCEL the request with the original artist before making that same request somewhere else.
  2. All requests for character specific banners must be for characters for CoSC. The Creation Zone is not intended as a free for all service, but a way for individuals without the graphics skills to have high quality banners available.
  3. Any time a resume is marked as 'Closed' that indicates that player is NOT accepting requests at the moment. Making requests via any channel is not acceptable.
Those who offer their skills of a artist here have the right to close their services anytime they see fit.

The Facts

A few helpful notes for getting along in the Creation Zone

  1. Image Sizes - When you're making a request for an avatar or a banner, BIGGER IS BETTER. Sure, the finished images will be either 100x100 or 100x400 pixels, BUT, if the artist has a bigger image with more detail in it originally to work with, you'll get a better finished result.
  2. Image Search - Unless an artist specifically states that that they will look for images for you, you should assume that they do not provide this service. Many artists are very busy people, and your choice of image helps them understand the sort of banner you would like.
  3. Pixeling - While in the early days of CoSC pixels were handled through artist requests, pixeling to create character images is now handled by the Character Imagery Department.

Making Requests

Requests will now be made via the Users Talk Pages. Links will be provided both to talk pages and resumes in the list of accepted artists.

BANNER RESUME

To be included if you answered "YES" to Banners in the base application.
For a banner artist application, simply provide 3 banners. You only need to copy and paste the URL for the banner from it's away hosting location (such as Photobucket) under the title 'BANNER RESUME'.

AVATAR RESUME

To be included if you answered "YES" to Avatars in the base application.
For an avatar artist application, simply provide 5 avatars. You need only to copy and past the URL for the avatar from it's away hosting location (such as Photobucket) under the title 'AVATAR RESUME'.

TABLE RESUME

To be included if you answered "YES" to Tables in the base application.
Simply display 2 tables that you have created under the title 'TABLE RESUME', to indicate your knowledge of table-making. The code does not need to be displayed, simply the table. The table must be one that works with the core-code of the website, links to tables stored elsewhere will not suffice.
