I'm happy to announce that, with the completion of the departmental updates following the changes to the character sheets, the new streamlined edition of the Genetics Department is online and ready for those who wish to to start submitting their characters for Genotyping.
You accomplish this by editing the character sheet in question using the appropriate form. Towards the bottom of the form you'll find a "Special Options" section. In that section there is a "Genotyping" field. If you set that to "Request" your request will be automatically submitted to the Genetics Department (no need to inform anyone). A member of the department will handle the request, add the page with the genotype on it, and change your request to "Provided" to remove your character from the request list.
