Would you please help make a banner for Chutzpah?

Image links: [[File:Rough_Chutzpah_Banner.png]] That's my attempt to make a banner. Could you please smooth the starry background, get rid of the tree bark that you can see to the right of the white cat, and crop it down to a manageable size?

If you need the original artwork, here are the two images I used to make my "banner":

I'm thinking either no words at all, or neon orange letters spelling "CHUTZPAH" vertically. What do you think?

I'll take the project, but will probobly start from scratch since having layers will make the entire process of adjustments much faster and yield a better finished product (ah, the power of photoshop and a design education!). I should get to it later today or tomorrow. Depending on how long my work today takes.

I'm sort of surprised. The challenge wasn't what I thought it would be (I thought getting the cat cut out nicely from the bark would be the issue). It turned out to be getting the cat to integrate with the background nicely (ultimately, there are two background layers, one smudged and fiddled to provide those little reflections around the edges). I'm super pleased with how it came out. I haven't been doing much more than basic photo editing in the last year. This was super fun! Thank you for the challenge, Fae!

Hey Kitsu! Would you do me the honor of revamping my Kelia table for me? I'd like to give all of my characters a new one but she is my top priority right now :) I have the image I would like here: [1] and the background would be something like this: [2]

If you don't think these images will work well let me know and I can find new ones :) Her current banner is far to aggressive for Kelia's personality and I'd love to soften it up with some fades and maybe her name written in cursive in the bottom right hand corner somewhat faded out. What do you think?

I'll take the job, but it won't be until probobly next Monday that I get time (I have a LARP event this weekend... and I may or may not be showing up without a shirt if I don't get really serious about sewing very soon). I might do something different with the background than what you've dropped, but I promise that whatever I do will look good with the main image you selected. Just not sure how much of the natural background to the selected image I'll be able to drop out without making things get weird... We shall see (I always know more once I've got things into Photoshop and am playing with them).
