Today I did enough work on release an updated version of the character sheet.

There are three major changes:

  1. Support for the old 'mate' variable dropped. No character sheets remain that still use it.
  2. Support for the non-integrated approvals template and sheets lacking the 'sheetstatus' viable has been dropped. No character sheets remain that lack the variable.
  3. The code has been divided into sections and moved to sub-pages to make future updates easier to handle.

This is the first phase of the serious drive for the 2.5 version of the sheet, which is intended to make character management even more user-friendly than it currently is, and we're not in a position to start dealing with some lingering age-compilation related bugs for some of the weirder situations because we're not supporting multiple versions of the code anymore. Smaller updates should become more frequently because it's easier to isolate bits of code and work on just them.

If you notice any weird things in any character sheets, provide a link to the character sheet in question and a description of the error so that it might be added to the bug fix list and addressed!

Calling for any bugs anyone has noticed of late with the character sheets, as I've been working on the next around of updates and wish to include any bug-fixes in the next release, which I expect to happen over this next weekend. Following this next update there will be a period where living cats will be forced to go through a round of updates to adapt to the phaseout of the separate {{Gene}}, {{Charinfo}}, and {{Slot-S}} templates. This period of phaseout will adapt everything living to the new system (the old, separated templates will be retained for purposes of not having to adapt anything dead until such time as we have to actively update them, as it requires no legacy code in the main character sheet). Following that the next around of character sheet updates will be focused on improvements to existing systems related to those features and addition of some new features that are grossly overdue (Leader life tracker, Apprentice training tracker, Hidden non-mandatory fields, Past Affiliations Listings).

Released version 2.4.3.1 today.

This is a re-write of the Vitals section of the character sheet code that solves an ongoing bug with characters without birth moons assigned, but possessing death moons. They'll now show no age details, instead of showing a computational error, but will still show how long it's been since they passed.

When trying to edit my Eagleflight's sheet, this came up:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I think it has something to do on my end, with privacy settings and cookies.
I'm going to fiddle around with my privacy settings.... if that doesn't work, I'll switch from using Google Chrome --- the latest version, 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit) --- to a different browser, either Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.

It's probably the presence of break tags or too many external links. I'll take a look once the critters are fed.

Yep. BR tags, which make the site moody now... It's much more sensitive and assumes we're up to no good. The upcoming character sheet update will include me having to update every character sheet for living characters. I'll try and strip all non-supported HTML while I can.

Ah, I see. Thanks! I got the edit done, now that the break tags < br > are gone.

The [Edit] (edit with a form) command still uses instructions to use < br > breaks tags instead of hard returns [ENTER]. If you like, just tell me where I can edit that out and I'll do so!

I'm actually working on the forms today, so I'll take care of it. They get edited on the individual form pages, though.
