When I try to go to the gallery of files, Special:NewFiles, I'm brought to a page that reads "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error", website most likely has a programming error.

I suspect you're right. I don't see any overt causes at the moment (it has to be linked to something in the software I use to run the site on it, which I don't actually build myself). I think it's going to take some serious mediawiki related homework to sort out. It might be something to do with the Legacy version of MediaWiki that we're running or something equally odd like that. I'll update as soon as I figure out why that page isn't loading correctly.

Here's the page on which I found the link to the "list of uploaded files": Special:Upload.

Is that "File List" distinct from the "Upload log"? Is the Gallery supposed to show visual thumbnails of files? The "Upload log" Special:Log/upload does not have any such visuals.

It also shows up in the special pages section. I suspect the fault is one of those weird little things. We shall have to see. I haven't made any significant progress yet. But thankfully the problem is with a page that isn't required for the site to function.
