Short Description :

A graying ginger tabby she-cat with gold eyes

Long Description :

Her ginger coat was once a great deal thicker, but now is growing sparser than ever in her old age. The ginger coloring covers her entire body, leaving no space for white, save the hair on her paws and face that have gone gray with age. Her movements have also grown stiffer over time, and now it is to the point that during leaf-bare she can hardly manage to walk. In spring, however, at least a portion of her spryness does return.

Personality

A cat who's long put the clan before her own desire, time has given rise to a She-cat who wants things done her way whenever possible. This is, perhaps, the outgrowth of her own lost love, a way to recapture the freedoms that her Clan up-bringing never permitted her. She takes great pride in her two grown offspring, and intends fully to make sure her grand-kits learn to hold their tempers in ways their father never could.

Full History :

Born in the days before the start of the great war, the happy kit grew into an energetic young apprentice who watched in horror at her first gathering as a young Medicine Cat died in the dark and no cat owned up to the deed. The young apprentice became a young warrior quickly in the growing panic of the building war. She fought bravely, but much preferred lone hunts along the far borders, keeping herself as far removed from the combat as possible.

It was on one of these lone patrols that she first met the large bodied Abyssinian cat named Socrates. His sweet words and cultured manners proved too much, and she fell in love. But, that love was returned and Socrates was nearly convinced to come to the forest. It was the saddest moment in her life when his courage failed. Their love, however, lived on. That love resulted in Gingertail's first, and only, litter of kits. It was because of these kits, and the betrayal to her clan that their father's identify would have been that they agreed that they must never see each other again.It was with a broken heart that Gingertail served her last time as a warrior before joining the elders in their den. In recent days she tells stories as an elder should, but expects things to be done her own way. Even her son has been forced to bend to her will, for too much of her life had been lived to protect him and his sister.
